*~*~*~*~*~*

Tegoshi smiled for himself and reached his hand out to touch Masuda’s soft skin, feel the warmth of his body. He was glad that he had made the decision he had the day before, because it had surely been the right one. Tegoshi felt relaxed, it was like Masuda’s mere presence made him feel complete again, made him feel warm and happy inside. He crawled closer to the older and rested his head on the man’s chest; listened to his heartbeats and inhaled his smell. There was no way that he would ever leave this; never. Tegoshi had been thinking a lot, and he had made a final decision now, one that would end this scandal for good and stop the agency from bitching with him. He had decided; and if Tegoshi Yuya had made a decision, then no one would ever be able to stop him.

Tegoshi could suddenly feel a hand stroking his hair, and he wrapped an arm around Masuda’s waist. “Good morning, baby.”

Masuda yawned. “Good morning. Are you already awake?”

Tegoshi nodded and placed a kiss on Masuda’s bare chest. “My brain is too full of thoughts, so I couldn’t sleep.”

Masuda was quiet, he just stroke Tegoshi’s head slowly. “Are you worried about your future?”

Tegoshi shook his head and nuzzled Masuda’s neck. “I’m just a bit overwhelmed, I guess. A lot of things have happened these past days, I guess it have been quite stressing.”

“Have you thought about what to do?” Masuda’s voice sounded concerned, like he was scared about what would happen. Tegoshi sat up and smiled towards him. “I have it all decided already. My agency will get angry, but I feel that it is the right thing to do.”

Masuda nodded slightly, and his eyes expressed curiosity. “What are you going to do? You make it sound like you’re a kid that’s starting a revolt against its parents…”

Tegoshi laughed. “I want to irritate the president, that’s why I came up with this. But it’s also for you. And since I want it to be a surprise, I’ll keep it a secret for now.”

Masuda pouted for a while, and then his lips turned into a smile. “You make me curious. It’s irritating, but cute at the same time.”

Tegoshi giggled. “It’s no secret that I’m irritating. But I take the cute-part as a compliment.”

Masuda placed a hand on the back of the younger’s neck and pulled him down to a kiss, one Tegoshi was happy to be the receiver of. He felt truly blessed to have a boyfriend that was this loving and caring, one that didn’t even get annoyed at him when he in reality was a pain in the ass. Masuda broke the kiss after a while and wrapped his arms around Tegoshi, caressed his back and nuzzled his neck. Tegoshi closed his eyes and allowed himself to melt in the elder’s embrace; just enjoy this beautiful moment. Masuda tightened his grip and placed quick kissed on Tegoshi’s hair. “I’m so glad that you came back.”

Tegoshi didn’t know what to say at first, but there really was only one right answer. “I’m glad that I came back too.”

Masuda laughed quietly and tightened his grip around Tegoshi’s waist. He didn’t say anything more, he just held the younger tight, and the silence wasn’t awkward at all. It was actually comfortable, and Tegoshi closed his eyes and just listened to Masuda’s heartbeats, feeling how his own heart was beating with happiness and filled him with warmth.

“Do you really have to go?”

Tegoshi nodded sadly, but smiled after a while. “I have to do this, Massu. I’m going to give them a farewell that they’ll never forget.”

“Don’t do anything too stupid, please.” Masuda looked seriously concerned, so Tegoshi took a few steps forward and embraced the older man. “I promise.”

He felt how Masuda wrapped his arms around his waist loosely and buried his nose in the younger’s hair. “I’m nervous.”

Tegoshi laughed and pulled away a bit to look Masuda in the eyes. “There’s no need to be, trust me.” Masuda nodded, and Tegoshi smiled towards him. “I’ll be off then.”

Masuda hugged him quickly before kissing his cheek and smiling slightly. “Good luck.”

Tegoshi answered the smile and waved before he made his way through the door. Truth to be told, he was just as nervous as Masuda apparently was, he just didn’t want to show it. The thing he planned to do was probably classified as stupid, but Tegoshi hoped that neither Ryo nor Masuda would get very mad at him. The president would, but that was more amusing than scary in his opinion.

When Tegoshi exited the apartment building, he saw how Ryo’s car stood parked a bit away, so he started to walk towards it. When he opened the door, Ryo smiled. “You look better than you did last time I saw you.”

“The reason is obvious, isn’t it?” Tegoshi laughed and sat down in the passenger’s seat.

“Yeah.” Ryo smirked “It’s almost funny what a difference a little sex can make…”

Tegoshi pouted and hit Ryo’s arm. “You know that this isn’t about the sex!”

Ryo laughed. “Yeah, I know.” His expression suddenly turned serious again, and he looked at Tegoshi. “Have you decided on what to do now?”

Tegoshi nodded and smiled towards his manager. “I have.”

“What will you do then?”

Tegoshi just smiled. “You’ll see.”

Ryo seemed to get a bit annoyed by Tegoshi’s hush-hush, but he didn’t try to investigate in the matter any further. Instead he started the car and drove out from the parking lot, heading towards the TV-station that was going to air the show where Tegoshi would appear. Tegoshi glanced at the older man during the drive, and it suddenly hit him that they would get parted soon. It made him kind of sad, he and Ryo had spent so much time together during Tegoshi’s years as an entertainer, but now that time would end. “Hey, Ryo…”

His manager didn’t take his eyes off the road ahead of him. “What?”

Tegoshi bit his lip. “I just…wanted to thank you. For all these years.”

Ryo laughed shortly. “No need to thank me, this is my job after all.”

“I guess…” Tegoshi sighed. “But I think of you as a real friend, just so you know. You’ve always endured being with me, even though I’ve acted like a spoiled brat sometimes…and I wanted to thank you for that.”

Ryo looked at him for a moment, and his lips curled into a smile. “I think of you as a friend too. So you better keep in touch.”

Tegoshi smiled. “I will, I promise.”

It felt god to say it, Tegoshi would have missed Ryo if they would have parted now without even thinking about seeing each other again.

“Looks like we’re here.”

Tegoshi looked out the window and saw the huge building where he was going to perform tonight. His stomach twisted in nervousness, but he couldn’t back off now. He had decided on what to do, and it was far too late to change plans now.

Tegoshi felt surprisingly calm when he watched the other guys from the agency perform while waiting for his turn to get out on stage. He had expected to be more nervous or even close to panic, but he felt relaxed and dedicated instead, almost a bit relieved. His decision felt so right, he didn’t have any doubts in his heart at all, and maybe that was the reason to his ease. His stomach didn’t even twitch when he got the signal to enter the stage, and he started to move towards it, actually having this never-again feeling in his heart. It was kind of sad that this probably was the last time he stood on a stage like this.

While gazing out over the audience, the butterflies in his stomach eventually did start to flutter a bit in nervousness. He could see Ryo from where he stood, and their gazes met before the music started to play. Tegoshi knew when he was supposed to start singing, but he didn’t. He just stayed quiet, waited for the band to stop playing their instruments. He could see how the producer mouthed angry things, and even Ryo looked quite stunned because of Tegoshi’s silence. Tegoshi just smiled and grabbed the microphone before turning to the audience, gazing at the girls that eyed him curiously. He smiled towards them before he started to speak. “I’m really sorry for this, but I won’t sing anything for you today.” Some of the girls looked surprised while hearing this, other looked disappointed, and the producer looked like he was going to blow up because of anger. After a short pause, Tegoshi continued. “But I have an announcement to make, and I hope that you all will listen to it with open hearts.”

Tegoshi took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment, and then he continued to speak. “I’m sure some of you have heard the rumours that have been spread about me, but I’m not here to comment about that only. But I want to tell you the truth, since you’re the ones who made me love this job so much.” Tegoshi bowed down deeply. “Thank you so much for all your support.”

When he looked up again, he immediately felt filled with courage and confidence from the fans in the audience who looked at him with encouraging eyes. “I’m sure most of you have heard those rumours about me, and all I can say is that it is true that I am seeing a man right now.”

“So you’re gay then?” It was a girl in the audience who had asked, and she had sounded quite upset. Tegoshi just smiled.

“Does is matter? What matters for me isn’t the gender of the person I’m with, but that the two of us are happy when we’re together. You may think that it’s disgusting, you can even hate me; but I won’t change because of it. Because I’ve found a person that make me feel strong and loved, and with him by my side, I can achieve anything. I’m sure of it.”

To Tegoshi’s surprise, some of the girls started to applause, and their smiles made him feel warm inside. Maybe not everyone would think of him as a creep after all. “But sadly, not everyone is as open-minded as you are. My agency tried to force me to break up with my boyfriend because they thought it would be bad publicity if people actually started to believe that I’m gay.” Tegoshi took a deep breath. “I don’t want to lose him; therefore I’ve decided to drop out of this agency.”

He actually felt bad when he saw the shocked faces in the audience. “I had to make a choice, and this was the only right one for me. But I want to thank you for your support during these years; you’ve made me enjoy every second on stage and everything else that I’ve done during this time.” Tegoshi bowed deeply before smiling towards the audience one last time. “Thank you so much for everything. I hope that we’ll be able to meet in the future again.”

The applauses grew loud when Tegoshi left the stage, and he felt lighter than ever when hearing it. His fans had accepted his decision and were supporting him; many girls were shouting encouraging words to him now, and it made a stone fall from his heart. He could see Ryo smiling towards him from where he stood, and he returned the smile, happy to know that his manager wasn’t mad at him. He walked towards Ryo, and the man laughed slightly when their gazes met. “You’re unbelievable.”

Tegoshi giggled slightly. “I know.”

“I don’t understand that you even managed to come up with an idea like this. Did you tell Masuda about this?”

Tegoshi shook his head. “I did tell him to watch the show, though. I hope he won’t be mad at me…”

Ryo laughed lightly. “I’m sure he won’t. You should go to him now, I know you want to.” Tegoshi smiled and bit his lip, but Ryo just patted his head. “Come on, go! I’ll deal with the rest, okay?”

Tegoshi nodded with a smile on his lips and gave Ryo a quick embrace. “Thanks for everything.”

The older man smiled. “No problem.”

“Make sure to keep in touch.” Ryo nodded, and Tegoshi smiled towards him. “See you!”

Ryo nodded and waved. “Make sure to be happy now, okay?”

Tegoshi nodded before heading towards the exit with quick steps, having a light and satisfied feeling inside. He managed to catch a cab as soon as he had exited the building, and butterflies started to flutter in his stomach again, but this time ones of the happy kind. Tegoshi felt excited and happy, and he wanted to see Masuda as soon as possible, wanted to hug him, kiss him and be with him without having someone opposing them. This somehow felt like a new start for them, a start to a life that would be even happier than before.

When the cab stopped by the apartment building where Masuda lived, Tegoshi paid quickly, telling the driver to keep the change before he got out. He didn’t waste any time; he ran towards the entrance and rushed up the stairs when he had entered the building. He simply couldn’t wait anymore; he wanted to see Masuda so badly, even though it in reality wasn’t long since they had parted. And when Tegoshi finally stood in front of Masuda’s entry door, he felt so many emotions rushing through his body that he almost started to cry. He didn’t know why he felt so overwhelmed, but when he opened the door and saw Masuda’s wide smile and teary eyes, he couldn’t hold back. He let the tears fall from his eyes; they were tears of happiness after all, and rushed to Masuda’s side, embraced him tightly and laughed out of relief and happiness. Masuda did the same, and it was then Tegoshi understood that his decision had been the right one, for all parts. This had been a victory for them; people had been against them, but their love had still won. It made Tegoshi happy, because it felt like their bond had somehow grown stronger because of everything that had happened. He felt so happy, and obviously, Masuda did too. It didn’t matter if the entire world was against them; Tegoshi knew that they would still fight for each other, no matter what happened. This was just the beginning; they had a wonderful future ahead of them now, one Tegoshi was looking forward to with his entire heart.

“Okay kids, time to gather!” Tegoshi smiled when he saw how the kids that had been doing different exercises on the soccer field started to run towards him, all of them having wide smiles on their lips. Soon after Tegoshi had dropped out of the agency, he had gotten a job-offer from a former soccer-trainer; he had asked if Tegoshi would like to be a kid-trainer. Of course, Tegoshi accepted the offer without hesitation, he loved kids, and he had loved and played soccer his entire life as well, so it was like a dream that came true. His new job was less fancy than his previous had been, but he found it really enjoyable, and he got more free time now than he had before, something that was more than welcome.

The kids were now gathered around him, and Tegoshi smiled towards them, he loved to see their happy faces. “Good job today, everyone! Did you have fun?”

The children nodded and smiled widely. “That’s good. I thought that we should try to play a real match next time, what do you think?”

“That would be awesome!” One of the boys in the crew seemed really excited, and Tegoshi laughed lightly when seeing his cheerful face. “I want to be at Tegoshi-san’s team then!”

“That’s unfair!” Some of the children opposed the boy, and Tegoshi hushed them.

“I’ll make sure the teams will be fair, okay? And I will bring a friend next time that will play with us. What do you think about that?”

The kids approved happily to the suggestion, they even seemed even more cheerful than before when hearing about the secret guest. “See you next time then!”

The children happily said goodbye and waved towards Tegoshi before running towards their parents that waited for them. Tegoshi watched their backs with a smile on his lips before turning around and walking towards the person that waited for him. Masuda was smiling, and waved when he noticed that Tegoshi started to move in his direction. He gave Tegoshi a quick hug before they started to walk towards the younger’s car. “Who’s that friend you were talking about?”

Tegoshi laughed lightly and bumped into Masuda on purpose. “It’s you, of course.”

“What?” Masuda seemed honestly shocked, and Tegoshi laughed lightly at his expression. “But I haven’t played soccer since elementary school…”

“Come on, Taka, you make yourself sound older than you are, it’s not that long since you attended elementary school, is it? It’ll be fun; I know that you like kids.”

Masuda was quiet for a moment, but then his lips turned into a smile. “Yeah, I guess.”

Then he turned to the younger with a serious expression in his eyes. “But please ask next time, okay?”

Tegoshi tilted his head to the side in an attempt to look innocent, and Masuda just laughed. “It doesn’t really make a difference anyway, I won’t be able to say no to you whatever you ask of me.”

Tegoshi laughed. “That’s true.”

Masuda suddenly turned quiet, and his expression became rather secretive. “But…I’m afraid that you have to take some days off in a few weeks…”

“Why?” Tegoshi gazed at Masuda curiously, but the older just smiled.

“Because we will spend a week in Hawaii next month.”

Tegoshi stared at his boyfriend and gaped. “We will?”

Masuda nodded. “I’ve already booked the tickets. Our anniversary is next month after all, and that date deserves some celebration, don’t you think?”

Tegoshi felt how his lips turned into the widest smile ever, and he threw his arms around Masuda. “You’re the best boyfriend ever.”

Masuda wrapped his arms tightly around Tegoshi’s waist as well and placed a quick kiss to his hair. “I know.”

Tegoshi laughed and pulled back a bit. “I wish I could repay you in some way…”

Masuda’s smiled slowly turned into a smirk. “You know you can.”

Tegoshi took the hint, and started to giggle slightly. “The kitchen floor?”

Masuda’s cheeks took a light shade of pink, but he still looked as enthusiastic as ever. “The kitchen floor, indeed.”
