While I was doing some errands downtown (Y:The Last Man vol. 7 dropped yesterday, my framing's done, and I am back to getting chump paycheques instead of direct deposit for the summer), I called my apartment folks and found out that my fridge'd be installed within the hour.
So now, not only is my freezer now bigger by perhaps a factor of 1.5, but the fridge is at the very rock-bottom of the energy-consumption scale (they say the lowest is 372 kWh, and this one's 376.) I'm not sure if this is because they care, or because they were cheaper. I mean, I don't expect any amenities (although would it have killed them to get one with enough space on the door for an upright bottle of Riesling?)
It's a good day to know people with cars. Olivia was right: the undergrad lab helpers are like
little puppies!
Leaving for Ottawa tomorrow morning with the lady in tow! Should prove to be fun! The next time you hear from me I'll have had a haircut and participated in a party based entirely around champagne.
