Since my son's birthday (tomorrow!) falls during Scarborough Faire, we've made it a family tradition to go the weekend closest to his birthday. Normally, it's warm and a bit muggy but not this year -- it was a tad chilly. It was overcast, very windy, and never got warmer than 58 but felt colder. I just hope I don't catch another cold -- I was the only one without a hoodie or jacket but at least I wore long pants and a peasant shirt with 3/4 sleeves. All three of my guys wore shorts and Ryan was just lucky that Bill went back to the truck for his jacket. *L* Ryan looked like a penguin in his dad's coat because the sleeves were too long.
Overwise, it was nice because the faire wasn't as crowded as usual. I picked up two Celtic hair ornaments that clip onto your ponytail holder, one in gold and one in silver. We watched 'Dr. Kaboom, Master of Science' which was playing instead of the Mud Show. The boys had chicken on a stick, Bill had shrimp etoufee, and I had a Scottish egg. Instead of getting Italian ice (too dang cold!), the boys and I split a funnel cake.
Now all I need to do is to fix dinner and somehow sneak my wrapping stuff by Paul so I can wrap his birthday stuff. Fun, fun....
