Whew!! I've had an exciting morning. My son's dog, Patrick, let himself in (he does that if the door isn't quite latched) and before I could get up from the desk to shut it, one of the barnswallows that nests on the patio flew into the house. Fortunately, I was able to shut off all of the bedrooms so it was comfined to only the main rooms but it took nearly an hour to persuade it to leave! I finally had to leash the dogs and open the front door too. The other swallows were tittering and fussing outside so I guess they were concerned too.
