... yes, we went to Scarborough Faire.
http://www.srfestival.com/ We didn't go last year due to the swine flu scare so we were all anxious to go this year. Unlike other years, we didn't come back loaded with souvenirs -- I bought a bar of French lavender body butter but that was it. Mostly, we walked around and looked at stuff. The boys and I watched the joust which was a little watered-down ... literally, as it had rained a few hours earlier. The horses had to slow down for the turns but it was a good show all the same. It was also Highland Games weekend so there were a lot big burly guys in kilts walking around. The boys were craving food this year -- Paul had a turkey leg, a chicken fajita wrap, an Italian ice, and half my funnel cake and Ryan had chicken on a stick, chicken stir-fry, a chicken fajita wrap and a cookie.
I predict another huge growth spurt. *sigh* Paul can already put his chin on the top of my head as it is and Ryan is only a few inches behind.
Garden:
Must get out tomorrow and finish planting the vegetable garden. I also have to do some serious pruning to my Iceberg rose -- I discovered some winter storm damage to one of the branches so I want to reduce the stress on it. I planted it when I first learned I was pregnant with Paul so I'm a little sentimental about it. The Sungold rose I planted to replace my Peace rose went completely nuts -- such beautiful big blooms!
