For our final assignment in English we are having to write about what we've learned this year in English. I've found analyzing myself is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but yet in so many ways it's necessary. Analyzing ourselves is an important everyday process that is seemingly similar to be like writing a paper. You have to fix it over and over until you get it just right. In order to analyze ourselves we must first look at what we were before. It's amazing how much you grow after just a year. I've grown in so many ways and not just in my academics. I've grown so much as a person and part of it is because I’ve actually taken time to reflect on things. When you look in a mirror what is the first thing you see about yourself? Whenever I look into a mirror I first see the overall picture. I see how I look and either classify it as good or bad. Then the details suddenly begin to pop out to me. After studying these details I don't always see things the same as when I could only see the overall picture. That's what it's been like for me this past year in English. I look at my overall progress and then I can start to see the real details of what I’ve learned. I've learned to love writing this year. I keep a journal because I actually want to and I write in it at least once a day. I write about my classes, things I learn, my goals, and just anything else on my mind. I enjoy writing poetry and reading books that are well written. My English Classes have really allowed me to determine when writing is good or bad. Overall I think my experience with writing has been very positive one this year.
