Okay. I hate working in a fucking resturant.
Seriously.
Yesterday was so nice so we were so dead.
It was 9:44 and we closed in 15 mins and all the sudden people just start flooding in.
Im like wtf! we close at 10!!!!!
So even at 9:55 we r still getting people in there and all the waitress's are being huge bitches to these people, including me, because come on!!!! how rude!!!
People dont realize you dont get to leave untill everyone in the resturant is gone.
I have to sit and watch people eat while my phone is being blown up with things to do, but no i cant leave untill iv cleaned all the tables, then u have to take out the trash and count bottles and clean up the place, so its nice to have the time after we close to do all that.
But when people r fucking sitting around u have to postpone ur after jobs and clean the extra non-nessesary tables.
I just wanna go up to one of the people and be like
me- what do u do for a living?
them- I work at a lawyers office
me- what if you couldnt leave untill every single person left the building. what if u were SUPPOSED to get out at 9 but at 8:30 you got three people in there who wanted to talk to your lawyers and it would take an hour each, but beacuse your pollicy is that customers can come when they want and you still have to serve them, so one by one they go in and take an hour each and before you knnow it, its 10:30 and your still at work, would you be nice to those people? even if you had plans?
OF COURSE YOU WOULDnt!!! SO WHY WOULD YOU BE RUDE AND COME INTO MY WORK WHEN WE R ABOUT TO CLOSE???
and the worse thing is one of the people who came in works at spencers. so she knows how it is.
AND another things to bitch about is how we make about 3 dollars and hour, so basicully we need the tips off the table. waitress's only make 2 dollars, there checks come back void because with taxes, there is nothing left. they live off the tips they make. it fucking sucks when they bust there ass for a table and treat them so nice and they leave like a dollar.
people need to know that what u tip is what they make, and it sucks because i know i dont have alot of money to tip but thats the way the resturant banks and the waitress's dont. bottom line dont go out to eat if you dont have money to tip.
Im just so happy that I got a new job and will only work at applebees on sundays.
It was nice tho, kristin told me i could leave and she would take care of the last tables, and i said no ill stick around for them to leave, so i didnt get out till 11 when we close at 10..... hate that place sooo glad i dont have to work there anymore.
