MERRY CHRISTMAS, ONE AND ALL!!
Um, yes, I'm aware how terribly belated this is, but the Romans have still got their Christmas lights strung up, so we should do as they do, and make it count, right? Time and space tends to blend together after being on the road two weeks, struggling with suitcases and maps and language inflections. I've been spending ( Read more... )

DEBBIE! ♥♥♥ :D

I feel like I have not talked to you in FOREVER. (Probably because I haven't.) I finally have a little time to go on the computer for once, and I'm so happy to see you've had fun all over Europe! When I have more time I'm going to have to actually read them and respond, hehe.

All this talk of Italy reminds me of when I went. I would absolutely love to go back to Rome and Florence, and France even more so. I feel in love with Paris~

realize I don't fit anymore.

I'm sure you'll still fit, m'dear. :) You'll just be a bit different, more cultured than you used to be, and I think travelling makes you appreciate everything a little bit more, and raises a patriotic sense in people. But of course that's not everyone, and you could totally be having "continent envy". I had that once when I went to Japan. The day I got there I immediately thought, "I need to move here as soon as I can; Japan is the place for me," but I got home and I was just so in love with Canada and British Columbia again and I didn't understand how I could possibly have wanted to leave it. I suppose we'll have to wait until I visit England before I make that decision though, lol. I'm eager to go on an exchange at school. :D

After that huge long spiel I just really just wanted to wish you a belated merry Christmas and happy new year! I think you'll be fine out there in the big, beautiful world, sweetie ♥

JOCELYNNNNNNN!!!

I know, we haven´t spoken in far, far too long! It´s actually quite a coincidence, because I was just thinking about you a few hours ago. I´m in Barcelona at the moment, and the stalls along La Rambla were selling a lot of Spanish football jerseys. I saw one of Kaká, and remembered all the good times we had discussing the Fifa World Cup <3.

Ohhh, I felt the exact same way when I went to Japan. It was just so unlike anywhere I´d been before up to that point, and I fell completely in love. I guess this time, I feel this way because I haven´t been home in so long, I think I´m either starting to idealize it too much, or forget certain things about it... I don´t know. So much has happened this year that I don´t know what will happen from here on out. But I suppose this kind of uncertainty is kind of like an adventure too :). But oohhh British Columbia, Vancouver. I was talking to a couple of New Zealanders about Vancouver last week when I was in Venice, and I suddenly had this vivid image of the Vancouver skyline... I miss it so much :(.

Thank you so much, Jocelyn ♥. You´re so sweet, and your words are such a comfort! A very merry belated Christmas and New Year to you toooooo!
