You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...
A big thanks to MM and the Overs from saving me from a possible boring Saturday night... a last minute invite for wine, cheese, pizza and cards came yesterday afternoon, so we all rocked up at MM's house that evening, and the boys played poker while the girls went Ice Skating. It's a nice relaxing way to spend an evening, a fair bit of fun, and we weren't playing with any money on the line, so the bets were big... considering when we went bankrupt and ran out of chips, there were always plenty more in the box not yet in play...
Considering the weather (severe thunderstorms all night) it was good to be indoors, and it was kinda cool to have the World Poker Tour on the TV (with William Shatner, Mena Suvari and a whole heap of others we didn't really know) in the background while we were playing.
Nearer the end of the night, the girls joined in as well (after returning from skating) and it certainly didn't take them long to remember the way to play Texas Hold 'em, so they ended up kicking arse. In the final hand of the night (decided before we started), we all went 'all in', and JL ended up with everything on a three of a kind, lucky girl :)
So, fun night :)
