I shouldn't be allowed out on my own...

I was studying in my sleep last night. However, it was terrible because, of course, I wasn't actually studying: my mind kept going in circles and I didn't even get the benefit of actually getting anything from it. I actually woke myself up from boredom. It's like the reverse nightmare or something.

Since we had an anatomy quiz today, I got up at 5am to study. I left my apartment at about 6:15ish so I could stop at the pharmacy (I needed cash) and the scrub machine and more study time.

. There are two pharmacies at the intersection I was at. I went to the one I frequent less. As it was still dark outside, I rather absent mindedly walked a ways up the wrong road before I realized I was heading in the completely wrong direction. So, despite the fact that I live less than a mile from school, I manage to get lost.

I finally get to the scrub machine in the hospital only to discover that it was full and unable to take my dirty scrubs. I therefore left without a clean pair and got halfway to the med school before I realized that I still have one pair of scrubs in the system that I keep for emergencies, so I turned around to get that pair. Only to find out that I was locked out of the hospital*, so I had to come up with a clever way of getting back into the place. When I got to the second floor, I met a 3rd year who had managed to get that far without ever using the scrub machines. He was running late for his first day of peds rounds. We went to the 11th floor scrub machine (finding it was an adventure in itself) only to find out that we can drop scrubs off there, but didn't have access to remove scrubs. So we went back down to the second floor one (getting lost along the way) only to find a laundry lady refilling it. She had to finish before we could access it. All in all, I got to the classroom at about 7:15.

And if I never run into that 3rd year again, I won't mind. He was the quintessential arrogant med student.

As of now, it's about 9:30 and I'm absolutely exhausted.

*Actually, I found out later that I just fail at trying to unlock doors using my ID.
