Okay, wow. So. Plot twist.

I really like EOS 10 now? I have no idea what changed, but I'm doing my second listen-through of the series and I think it's because you need season one to really establish the characters because by season two, they get parodied somewhat (not quite Flanderized). The characters who I found annoying and two-dimensional (i.e., Levi and Jane) are characters that I now find legitimately funny.

I think the moment I knew that I loved this series was when, after thinking that their shuttle had crashed and that they were all going to die, the Quartermaster makes a reference to Ryan's forehead (which never gets old) and Jane, without hesitation, genuinely finds it funny (her "I know right" was delivered perfectly).

I still think this is the weakest of the podcast series I've listened to. It shies away from more explicit character development (we get to see both Ben and Sammy break down at multiple points in KFAM and W359 was probably the best example of subtle yet explicit character development that I have EVER seen) but it's solid and--most importantly--it's hella fun.

I just really hope I have access to future season 4 episodes...

(Also, I remember the first time I listened to KFAM, I initially thought to myself that I found the series amusing, but would be very unlikely to listen through it again. I am now more than half-way through my third time through the series. I might have a problem...)

In health-related news...I think I might have a kidney stone? My left lower back and abdomen groin kind of hurt. I exercised quite hard last night, so it might by MSK-related and I have been having problems with my right SI joint, but that's been mostly okay and this type of pain is different in nature than my SI pain usually is. I've been drinking plenty of water and the pain has sort of improved (and it's not even bad enough that I've had to reach for the NSAIDs yet) but I would really like to be pain-free tomorrow so I can exercise again...
