Another time stamp

So, tonight was our program's Christmas party. I dreaded it, not least because my best friend wasn't going to be there (she and I usually had a good time sitting in the back and mocking the proceedings) and, because of that, I had to talk to other people (she and I usually ignored everyone else, which is much harder to do when you're solo). My co-Chief was't there, either, so I had to brave it alone.

It wasn't too bad, in all. I was very happy to leave, however.

But that MAY be mostly because I actually walked over (the place was roughly 3/4 of a mile away from where I live and it's always been my goal to actually walk to one of these events) and I think that was the highlight of my evening. The air was crisp and cold and...I FINALLY allowed myself to start a new podcast, King Falls AM (figuring that, if the party totally sucked, at least I'd have something to look forward to). The episodes are short and the two main guys' voices are a liiiiittle hard to close in register, but I'm finding myself endeared to it already.

Now, the real challenge will be maintaining my interest enough in Wolf 359 to continue to at least finish the fic I've started while indulging in another podcast.

I'm gonna remain optimistic that I can accomplish this...

king falls am, real life, residency, work, wolf 359, friends, chief year, podcasts
