Because med students aren't already prone to hypochondria...

We were told, on our second day of this neuro module that there's a chance that some lefties are lefties because they had a stroke when they were younger. I agree, though given how awesome lefties are, it was probably a stroke of BRILLIANCE.

Lame puns aside...

I just got back from another 4 hour study session at Starbuck's, which was made a bit more eventful by the fact that my tankmate showed up to study there as well. So weird.

What was also weird was that a guy got my attention after I had got my drink and this awkward conversation took place:

Him: So, I could have sworn that I knew you from somewhere--
Me: Begins to interrupt to tell him that he doesn't ring the slightest bit familiar to me. Him: --when I realized that you look a lot like the girl from this movie holds up his iPhone and shows the movie poster for Garden State. Have you seen it? It's a really good movie.
Me: Uh, no. Stuggles to come up with a polite comment before extricating from this unforeseen and unwelcome social situation. But, doesn't it have that guy from Scrubs in it?

I finally ended the conversation and found a table to study at before I remembered that the main actress in that movie is Natalie Portman, whom I look nothing like. Unless he was talking about another actress in that movie. I dunno and, despite his vehement insistence, I highly doubt I will ever watch it.

But still. Talk about awkward...

Oh, and I finished my second reread of The Lies of Locke Lamora yesterday and started the sequel, which I doubt I'll completely read because though piratical adventures are awesome that whole section seemed to ruin the pacing and was a more boring part of the plot for me.

I met with The-Girl-I-Made-Cry over the break and she gave me her copy of JLH's Katya's World novel, which I'll probably read next. I heard it was written in a completely different style, though, so we'll see how disappointed I'll be...
