One more day until the weekend...and I can't wait! I'm in a great mood, got a lot of things organized and found that needed to be done...and the weekend's almost here! What does the weekend bring me?
1. Time on Friday to clean my house, sleep and just generally chill. May throw some lesson planning in there, but it's Friday night!
2. Saturday I'll finally get to help out with the high school district board campaign by hanging up door signs in neighborhoods. I'm usually pretty active in our teacher's union, but with all the stuff that's been occuyping my schedule as of late, I've felt like a real slacker because I haven't been able to help with the election. So, I'm glad to have a Saturday morning free to finally contribute...as long as I get my house cleaned on Friday :).
3. Company! Yup - long awaited quality time with a certain someone is coming this weekend. I'm *so* looking forward to him coming up to Bakersfield on Saturday and staying the night. We're both excited about the opportunity to use the hot tub at my apartment complex...I've been paying plenty of rent for the last few months and haven't even seen the hot tub or pool yet! So, good times, relaxation and fun will be had by both!
4. Not sure what time he's leaving Sunday, but when he does...I'll get to buckle down and work on some lesson planning. I know I always work best at the last minute anyway, so I'm planning on resting, cleaning and having fun for most of the weekend, and then getting down to business on Sunday night. But, hey, if he doesn't leave until late?? I can wing Monday ;).
So, yeah...yay for weekends! In other news, it's been a quick but good week. My Assistant Principal came in to watch one of my classes this week and, although we haven't had our "post-observation conference" yet, he gave me a "Good Job!" on the way back to his office. And, I shelled out some cash for some a few new articles of clothing this week...if I may say so, I'm hot. Well, let me rephrase that...after wearing combos of the new and old stuff this week and actually dressing professionally (not in jeans), a STUDENT commented on how "pimp" I've looked this week. And a fellow teacher told me on Wednesday that I looked "sexy in black." Good to know...hehehe. Dressing for success will get you everywhere, eh?
How are YOU?
