back from virginia!
awesome weekend... imma see if i can use libby's scanner to post some pics on here?
Day 1: got up at 3 in the morning for 12 hour bus ride #1. we stopped a couple of times, i listened to music, read maayans book, talked, slept, etc. at around 3-4 in the afternoon we arrived at virginia beach resort hotel, and immediately proceeded to the pool. the water was nice but the ocean was freezing. i know, because we ran out and dunked ourselves in a couple of times and then ran back into the pool. lol amanda we got to see weight room looking very bay watch-y in his red bathing suit on the beach. that night we had that funny game show and the sweet dance party. it was really funny all the girls on the dance floor singing VOULEZ VOUS COUCHER AVEC MOI CE SOIR at the top of our lungs. then we went up to our rooms and talked to the guys from pennsylvania in the room above ours from the balcony. the hotel room had the most comfortable pillow i have ever slept on.
Day 2: woke up, had breakfast, and got ready to leave for colonial williamsburg. we drove for like 2 hours because we got totally lost and we didnt get there till like 12. and it was crappy and rainy anyway. so we only stayed for like 45 minutes because it was boring and gross. the hot cider was good though. then since we had gotten lost we were going to be late to our concert! so we had to rush back and the chorus people had to grab mcdonalds food and get changed as quick as possible. me and maayan made it onto the bus just in time, they were waiting for us lol. our warm up time was gone so we had to warm up on the bus. and then mrs. laparle was crying and we all cheered for her. we finally got there 5 minutes before our performance and met our accompianist for the first time and ran through the performance. then it was time to go on. we sang and i thought we didnt do our best but...keep reading...it was kind of funny because the director dude kept calling mrs. laparle "mrs. leparlay" so we finished and got to see choral ensemble (who were AWESOME by the way it gave me shivers!) and band. (i think i fell asleep during band. not because they were boring i was just tired.) then we got to go to the mall even though the band people didnt and i walked around with kelly and rachael and steve and other people and ddint buy anything because i had no money. at like 9 we went back to the school for the awards ceremony and it turned out that band got excellent, chorus and choral ensemble got superior, and choral ensemble got best in the festival!! we were on our feet screaming our heads off.. our hs got 4 out of 8 awards at the festival. on the way back everyone was really hyper and singing and stuff and rob was trying to learn our names. then we got back and had the pizza party and rob tryed to learn our names some more, thus yingxia became ying yang and i became apple juice. idk... that night andrea ying and i had a pillow fight. it was pretty awesome.
Day 3: busch gardens day! it was nice and hot and sunny, and busch gardens was aweseome. me and ying went on all the roller coasters and they had the longest lines, like an hour and a half for most of the good ones. but they were worth it! i had the hugest lunch and then i couldnt eat anything else except a frosted lemonade (SO GOOD better than dels if you can believe it) and cotton candy (so disgustingly delicious) we kept seeing hot guys in green shirts lol. when we got back we went in the pool for a little. it was fun. and then we went up and went to a party in amy's room with a bunch of people. then finally we had to go to bed.
Day 4: our last day how sad....we got up early and boarded the bus and left virginia forever :( i slept alot more on this ride, and listened to more music. then we heard the news. mr. gray called mrs. hughes and told her and she told us "theres been a tragic accident. two boys from our school have been killed. mike neubauer and zach stiness, and brendan mcgonagle is in critical condition." i was very shocked. all i could think was "zachs in my french class. he was in my group for our stories. he always flirts with michelle. he always teases gene. he came up with the idea that fred the fry should be an airline pilot. he cant be dead! i just saw him on wednesday!" rip to them and i am praying for brendan. we finally arrived home and that was my trip.
now for homework.........
