[When he turns the feed on, it's obvious he's quite reluctant to do so. A deep breath that turns into a rather irritated sigh comes from his end before asking.]For those of you that have been here long enough: What is the most secluded area outside of the village if one does not want to be disturbed? Personal preferences of various places

Tsubaki sits by the window, staring out idly at nothing in particular. Figures pass by in a blur as her thoughts keep drifting back to what happened out in the forest. It's been quite some time now since that unfortunate incident, and she should be able to go home very soon, but until Litchi's satisfied that she's well enough to leave, she's stuck here without a whole lot to do.
That's why any visitor would be more than welcome...
...But that goes double for Jin. Maybe he'll visit again today? :D]

Tsubaki?
[Ah, he finds her near the window, relieved to see her condition has gotten better with each passing day than worse. When he'd found her after her confrontation with Mu, he'd been honestly worried she might not even-
-Well, nevermind that, it never occurred and Jin considers them both lucky for that. As he approaches her, he says nothing, simply offering her the box. Anything he said at this point about it would probably give it away, so he'll wait until after she opens the box.
This is what she'll find, complete with a cute blue and white bow, waking up from its nap to peek out of the box once it's opened.
Quietly once the surprise is peeking out of the box, he mentions:] Since you're stuck here by yourself recently... [He thought ( ... )

Jin, thanks for-- [oh, hello big exciting gift box responsible for rendering her speechless in the middle of a sentence! She's mostly just staring, both bewildered and thrilled that he'd bring her a present like this as he approaches with it.] ...Is this really for me? You shouldn't have!
[But since he's not saying anything, she'll just carefully take the box from him, grinning like an idiot, and proceed to open it. Slowly, slowly... and then once its occupant decides to peek out, Tsubaki's

Jin... it's adorable!

Jin sighs lightly, staring at the cat. What a pain in the ass it had been. First it had started to follow him around at some point, looking to eat anything and everything the major would be willing to give up-even when he had no food. Finally, Jin just had decided to take it home to his place, realizing maybe a playful kitten might be good for Tsubaki.
Then, the little white kitten turned into a terror when subject to a good washing, almost practically pulling Jin into the bathtub and shallow water with it in the process (he knew he should have just washed it in the sink). But, now that it's clean with its cute little bow and warming up to Tsubaki already, it almost makes Jin forget how much trouble it had been ( ... )

He's perfect. [She tilts her head back up to Jin, her smile wider than ever.] I can't thank you enough. Where did you find the little trouble-maker?

He started following me around the other day and wouldn't stop. I figured you'd enjoy his company more than I did. [Seriously, feed the cat some of your lunch and you're screwed for the rest of your life.
Or, maybe just until it finds the right person and then it could give a crap about you. He notices the kitten yawns and wiggles a bit to get into the most comfortable position possible to take a nap in Tsubaki's arms. He must be feeling cozy already.]
You'll have to name him.

He must have taken a liking to you. [Which totally obligates you to come over and visit him every now and then, Jin.
Tsubaki looks back down at the sleepy kitten, trying to figure out what sort of name would suit him while he purrs softly. If Noel was here, she'd probably want to call him "Mr Kitty" or something equally uninspiring.
...But she isn't here.
Lowering her head and frowning, Tsubaki suddenly feels guilty for getting so excited over a kitten. Her best friend was... no. Noel was going to be fine. She'd be back soon and everything would go back to normal. It would just have to, wouldn't it? Tsubaki had already spent a week worrying and fearing and regretting, and not one bit of it had been productive. All she can do now is wait, and be there for her friend when the time comes.
...] He's not really much of a "Jubei", is he?

Of the six heroes? He has a long way to go before being able to use that name.
[His expression softens slightly, noticing her sudden lack of excitement, as if she feels guilty over obtaining the kitten. Jin reaches to put a hand on her shoulder to get her attention, leaning in a bit closer.]
You all right?

[Noticing that a distracted Tsubaki has stopped petting it, the kitten starts wiggling again. Get it together, woman.]

I'm sure she's fine. If I see her, I'll make sure to tell her and have her come see you.
[Noel is usually pretty harmless, but since he has no idea how Mu came to be this time around, he's a litttllee more unsure about her visiting.
But, Tsubaki doesn't need to know that. Did she even know Kusanagi and Noel were the same person?]

[But she doesn't think that Noel is fine. And despite acknowledging the possibility that there could be more Noel-look-alikes running around, she does think that the one responsible for this destruction was indeed her best friend. She knows what the Malnosso can do to people, and she blames them for everything, but even if Noel was just their pawn this time, she might not be able to escape the consequences of what she'd done as the monster they turned her into. She might not be able to escape the memories. Just the thought of that deer in the forest makes Tsubaki sick to her stomach. She can't even imagine what it would do to Noel.
If that thing was her.]
...What do you think of "Lucem Sanctam" as a name? [The kitten hisses, as if in disapproval, and Tsubaki pouts at it.] Well I wasn't asking you.

As for me... it's a little long, don't you think?

You know, just give it a few days or so. It'll make no difference to him.
