[VOICE]
[When he turns the feed on, it's obvious he's quite reluctant to do so. A deep breath that turns into a rather irritated sigh comes from his end before asking.]For those of you that have been here long enough: What is the most secluded area outside of the village if one does not want to be disturbed? Personal preferences of various places

Hi Jin!

There is a distinct pause and he tries to put a name to that voice, the one coming out of the mouth of this younger brown-haired individual.
...
-Ah, right, the kid who liked the moon.]
...Seto.
[He's pretty sure that's the kid's name, anyway.] What are you doing here?

Looking for you! I wanted to show you that quiet place you were asking about.

Hm? Looking for me?
[Jin looks genuinely curious now. Not many people go looking for Major Jin Kisaragi except back home when he defies direct orders and needs to be dragged back kicking and screaming. Needless to say, that itself is enough to get Jin's attention, but it seems Seto has something even more interesting.
He knows a place? Well, then!]
Really. [He gives one last (and rather bored) look around the weapons shop before nodding to Seto. To Candy Mountain!]
Show me.

There's a lot more space, when you get out of the village, you know. Depends how far you're willing to walk. Unless you've got means to shortcut that kind of thing.

Let's assume walking any distance is not an issue, then.
[He doesn't have any ability to make it from one place to another other than on his own two feet. Finding the best place possible, however, is much more important than distance needed to travel. He's interested in all options and opinions from others, at this point.]

Have you traveled to either place yourself?

Tsubaki sits by the window, staring out idly at nothing in particular. Figures pass by in a blur as her thoughts keep drifting back to what happened out in the forest. It's been quite some time now since that unfortunate incident, and she should be able to go home very soon, but until Litchi's satisfied that she's well enough to leave, she's stuck here without a whole lot to do.
That's why any visitor would be more than welcome...
...But that goes double for Jin. Maybe he'll visit again today? :D]

Tsubaki?
[Ah, he finds her near the window, relieved to see her condition has gotten better with each passing day than worse. When he'd found her after her confrontation with Mu, he'd been honestly worried she might not even-
-Well, nevermind that, it never occurred and Jin considers them both lucky for that. As he approaches her, he says nothing, simply offering her the box. Anything he said at this point about it would probably give it away, so he'll wait until after she opens the box.
This is what she'll find, complete with a cute blue and white bow, waking up from its nap to peek out of the box once it's opened.
Quietly once the surprise is peeking out of the box, he mentions:] Since you're stuck here by yourself recently... [He thought ( ... )

Jin, thanks for-- [oh, hello big exciting gift box responsible for rendering her speechless in the middle of a sentence! She's mostly just staring, both bewildered and thrilled that he'd bring her a present like this as he approaches with it.] ...Is this really for me? You shouldn't have!
[But since he's not saying anything, she'll just carefully take the box from him, grinning like an idiot, and proceed to open it. Slowly, slowly... and then once its occupant decides to peek out, Tsubaki's

Jin... it's adorable!

Jin sighs lightly, staring at the cat. What a pain in the ass it had been. First it had started to follow him around at some point, looking to eat anything and everything the major would be willing to give up-even when he had no food. Finally, Jin just had decided to take it home to his place, realizing maybe a playful kitten might be good for Tsubaki.
Then, the little white kitten turned into a terror when subject to a good washing, almost practically pulling Jin into the bathtub and shallow water with it in the process (he knew he should have just washed it in the sink). But, now that it's clean with its cute little bow and warming up to Tsubaki already, it almost makes Jin forget how much trouble it had been ( ... )

Now, Jin's a little unsure of just how quiet the forest really is.]
I've been in the forest. It's an option, but not preferable due to recent events.
[Someone who likes to see all the things going on in the village. Huh.]
Is all this activity something new to you or have you already had plenty of it back in your homeworld?
