Brief vent before leaving for work.
The cats are going to give me gray hairs before I'm ready for them. Jinx disapeared for nearly twenty-four hours (which never happens as he's always in and out for bites of kitty kibble) and showed up last night on the back porch, laid out on the mat. He stumbled in, unable to put any weight on his left back leg. It took him an hour, but he made his way to the guest room and sacked out under the wine rack. He won't eat, won't take any cookies and may not have had anything to drink, though I've given him a shallow dish of water and a small amount of kibble in case he feels peckish and can't make it out to the kitchen where the communal cat dishes are.
I'm really worried about Jinx. :/ I don't want to go to work. I've made an appointment with the vet for first thing in the morning, and my mother's agreed to take Jinx to the emergency vet tonight after work if things look any worse. Glad I worked the Easter stat. I have a feeling I'm gonna need every penny of this inflated paycheck for x-rays and kitty painkillers and any other battery of tests.
