Continuing my Japan trip review, here’s what happened in Osaka on September 29th-30th! :D I tried to make it shorter but it didn’t work… it’s still quite long. There are a couple of pictures though so I hope it helps? XD Sorry about any typos / incoherence but I'm not going to re-read this again!! XD
Note: Decided to leave this post public because I think people might want to read it. If you're not my friend, a few pictures won't show because I locked them (don't worry, they're just the pictures that show my face so you're not losing much XD).
I met Lauren in Umeda around 9AM and got to the stadium around 30 minutes later. The goods line was quite long but we were out with our stuff in one hour or so. After talking a bit about it, Lauren decided to get the Yasu poster and I got not only Maru's but Subaru's too XD (who needs moneyyy). When we were leaving the goods area we started hearing music coming from the stadium - they were playing Aoppana!! :D
Goods line... and this is the view we had after waiting for 30 minutes in the park... XD
Random views of the stadium, we found odd that we didn't have a sign or something up because I really wanted to take a picture of it just like I did in Tokyo. Maybe they didn't do it because of the weather.
We *think* these might be the vans that pick up the boys and take them to the venue, but I'm not sure. Decided to take a picture just in case. XD There were also lots of cameras around... too many cameras and BIG cameras lol. We wondered whether they'd be filming for the DVD or not.
We bought a few things for Ace and Alissa too, so we sat down in a corner (more specifically the smoking area, but it was empty so we didn't care XD) so we could wait for them. The park was already full of eighters, most of them really well dressed / cosplaying rangers / cosplaying the FIGHT outfits, whatever!! They were completely ready for the concert to start! I was brave enough to approach a group and ask for a picture this time XDb
Ace and Alissa were almost an hour late, but thanks to that we were able to listen to the whole rehearsal. The boys performed all the band songs and we could listen to them perfectly - I even recorded some songs and I've started uploading them on YouTube... I’ll post the links in a locked post later.
The things I remember the most are Maru's bass during the instrumental part, Yasu's guitar during Ai deshita (OMGGGG, when he started we were all like ARE YOU SERIOUS? /dies), and Subaru's voice in general (even though he was clearly sparing his voice for the real concert XD). Also I had fun yelling my "Ganbare!" whenever Ryo went off-key, hahaha. XD It was great to see (and hear) the whole park dying whenever they started a new song (Heavenly Psycho, specially XD). Also, Ohkura's little solos were killing everyone here and there. It was a great experience and a great warm-up for the concert!! XD I remember seeing everyone with their hands up in the air recording the songs, and a girl called someone and raised the phone so the other person could hear what they were performing, and then she was like "Did you listen?? Did you listennn??" XD.
At the end of the rehearsal (I can't remember which was the last song), Yoko yelled something and everyone flailed hahaha. I'm not sure what he said but probably something like "See you at the concert!", haha. XD
Lauren helped me putting those body seals on, and then the girls got there and we started walking around in the park (it was past 1PM already and we hadn't had lunch yet, so we needed to find a restaurant or something! XD), and that was when, suddenly, a girl stopped us, and she looked really desperate, and she was like "Matte! Shashin ga toritai!!" ("Wait! I want to take a picture!") and we were like eeeeh XD. They were in fact three Ryo fans, were holding their uchiwas and one of them was cosplaying Yellow Ranger. XD They wanted to take a picture because we were foreigners and we were there to see Eito, haha. I asked them to snap a picture with my camera too, and it turned out really lovely:
Funniest thing was when they asked where we were from, and then Ace said "Spain!", and Lauren and Alissa went like "America!", and then I said "Brazil!", and the girl's eyes went wide and she was like "Eh, maji de, shita kara kita?!" ("Seriously? You came from below?!", and she was pointing to the ground XD). It was the cutest thing ever, OMG!! <3
Then they asked who we liked (It seems that's the default conversation, where are you from, who's your favorite? XD), and Alissa said Maru and they asked if we had watched Boys on the Run and we said yes and everyone started doing the Tanishi pose out of nowhere XD. Lauren said she liked Yasu and they mentioned Dragon Seinendan... And when Ace and I said we liked Subaru there was obviously nothing to mention, lol XD But they loved Ace's Sankyoudai T-shirt!! XD Then one of the girls (I think it was the first one that came to talk to us) asked if she could shake hands with us, and she was acting as if that was the most special thing in the world, so we just handed out our hands and she shook them one by one. XD And in the end before we parted they were all like "Tanoshimashou!", and they smiled, and waved, and my head quickly went from "WTF has just happened" to "They're so adorable jfdldnjjdk" XD. So yes, apparently that's what happens when you walk around with 3 other foreign friends in Osaka on a concert day. XD
We went to have lunch and the restaurant was full of eighters, haha. There was this couple and their sons were dressed as Yasuba rangers!! Mini Yasuba, how fitting. XD They were the cutest thing ever, but it would be creepy to ask their parents for pictures, so I didn’t. XD By this time it was drizzling already, and the weather just started getting worse. Noelle met us briefly and had lunch with us. I was happy I could meet her even if we didn't have time to talk much. :D
When we got out of the restaurant and started heading to the stadium again, the girls saw tweets saying that the concert on the following day had been canceled because of the typhoon. Soon enough they got emails from the fanclub that confirmed the fact. My tension went down immediately because I have friends who were going to go on the 30th, and would only be able to go on that day. The concert wasn’t even re-scheduled, but simply canceled for everyone’s safety. So yeah, it’s not the boys’ fault, it’s not the management’s fault, but still it sucks. D: The fanclub email also said that they would stop selling goods at 5PM instead of 8PM and that they weren’t going to sell goods on Sunday, either. When we reached the stadium, the goods line was still as long as in the morning. The rain was getting worse, so we just put our ponchos on and kept trying to contact our friends who were going to the concert on Sunday. It really broke my heart. :( While we waited outside, I saw three girls wearing black skirts and the Sankyoudai T-shirts. :D
The ticket to heaven (lol) and our entrance!
Lauren and I got inside the stadium around 1 hour before the concert started, and we found our seats without problems. We were high up on the stands this time, C block 43th row (left side). Even though we were faaaar away from the main stage it was great because it was the complete opposite of my seat in the first concert, so this time I could enjoy the concert from a totally different perspective. I couldn’t see their faces but I could see the whole screen and the whole stadium, something that can’t be done in the arena (in the arena I could enjoy their faces up close, but I totally lost the view of the concert as a whole, I think). I could also see the back stage and when they moved around on the little carts (which I couldn’t see it at all in the first concert). When it got dark I could see all the penlights shining in so many colors and it was so pretty ;__;. Not to mention we were under the covered area, so no need for the rain ponchos and our goods were safe, too. XD <3 We saw the arena filling up and everyone was wearing rain ponchos - some girls were wearing ponchos in their favorite member’s color, which was cute. XD
Here's something I made to describe better where our seats were (I've also just edited the previous report post with a similar drawing with our seats in Ajinomoto):
{C}
I also took a picture from our seats while we were waiting but my cellphone settings were messed up so it turned out really small. Oh well I didn't want to take my real camera out of my bag, so that's what I got:
The concert started around 10 minutes later than planned. At 5 o’clock there were still lots of staff wiping the floor, even though the rain wouldn’t stop falling. There were 15-16 cameras around, and big cameras, completely different from the ones they we had in Tokyo. There was even that one that keeps moving on a wire above the stadium. They didn't mention anything, but I guess they got lots of footage!! XD I do hope the concert ends up on DVD, even with all the problems because of the water, all the slipping and everything XD.
The setlist was exactly the same as the concert I went to in Ajinomoto, but I’ll go through it again because I remembered a few extra things I didn’t include in the first report. XD At the end of the opening video, when the boys are walking away from the shop in Osaka, 2004, there’s this time slip on the screen, that goes like 2005-2006-2007-… and reaches 2012, when it cuts to live backstage and the boys enter. It raised everyone’s tension to the max!! :D
Right after Osaka Romanesque ended, Subaru went like “Ikuzou Eighter!!” and and~ <3. When Musekinin Hero started, Yoko was all like “Osaka hisashiburi!”. <3 I think it was during Zukkoke that the carts were passing by and gorgeous Ohkura looked up towards the highest stands (where we were) and smiled really big and waved and that was really special to me because in the first concert I went to I didn’t quite enjoy Ohkura that much, haha. XD <3 By the way those were the only moments in which I could really see their faces, when they came by on the carts (and maybe when they were in the back stage?). Yasu waved with both hands at some point too and it was super cute, and freaking Subaru fisted the air and bowed in our direction when he passed by, too. It was cool and omg, Subaru, I can’t even, IDK what the others did, but damn, Subaru. <3 (I think this Subaru thing might have happened towards the end though, during Do You Agree or something, because I remember he was wearing darker clothes. Definitely not the bright pink from the beginning. XD)
TWL was SO AWESOME. I could see the whole stadium waving their towels and the boys were so hyper and Subaru was just singing so passionately and I couldn’t help but smiling and jumping and waving my towel too. <3
Intro speeches… all of them were soaked (or so it seemed), and Ohkura was like “Too bad it’s raining, but we’re not losing against the rain, let’s give our best till the end!”. Ryo was super hyper and talking super fast, asking if we were well and saying he was well too (as always), haha. Yasu was cute and said something like “It’s raining but let’s make it look like the weather is good!”, and ended with a “Daisuki da zooooo~” which was jskagdkuds <3. Also I think this was when we realized Yasu’s hair was different already, he’s dark-haired again now and he looks great, I think you’ve all seen it already, you can see it in the current Janiben episodes. XD Subaru’s speech was short but I can’t remember what he said. Maru did the PAAAAN with us, and I can’t remember what Yoko said either. Hina was the last one and he asked for the crowd to scream (and there were a few girls right behind us who pretended they were boys, making their voices go stronger so they’d blend in with the otoko no eighter… I started wondering how many girls actually do that, lol!!), and then he said “It’s Kanjani8’s first concert in the rain! Let’s become idiots together!”. Yaaaayyy \XD/
First band part started with LIFE, and then there was a nice transition to Ai deshita (Yasu’s guitar in the beginning is simply SO COOL!!). When Heavenly Psycho started everyone died, and something I didn’t remember from the first concert: the big screen showed scenes of their previous DVDs, with the boys much, much younger performing the same song. During the chorus they put the live feed and the old videos together, so the screen was divided in 14 parts. It was interesting to see how much the boys have changed in 8 years XD. Tsubusa ni Koi followed and Subaru was once again holding the damn red cord around his neck and fingers and nnnngh voice. “Suki da yo tte”. Yes. ;_; “Please have fun until the end today!”.
I hadn’t noticed this in the first concert, but the fact Ohkura ALWAYS has solo lines in the bridge part became so evident once they performed all band songs together like this. XD His solo lines in Heavenly Psycho killed a few more fangirls (me included, except I was lucky because my soul returned quickly enough XD).
About the Eito Rangers skit, it was pretty much the same thing as I reported previously, so I’m just going to add a few random bits:
The “What have the Rangers been doing?” video was, in this order:
Green: He’s been practicing taiko! (and then Kura is wearing the Shiwake green uniform, the same he wears while playing the game XDD)
Orange: He’s a singer? Has released his first single? And Maru is wearing a wig and singing and lol.
Blue: Became a fortune-teller (he has a crystal ball, I guess?), Yasu is wearing a yellow wig and lots of make-up XD.
Nasu: Got tired of Japan and moved abroad, is laughing non-stop with lots of money lol.
Red: Became a painter, there’s a foreign girl modeling for him, but his drawings suck. XD
Yellow: Has been bungee-jumping.
Black: As always, has been plotting something. *evil smirk*
There was a pretty cool intro video, with “transformation sequences” for each of them. And there were several jokes referring to their characters in the movie, but I obviously couldn’t get all of them except for Hina’s shiny fangs, haha (and there was also something referring to Yasu’s obsession with the blue color XD).
During the entrance, Ryo’s wire got stuck and he spent half the song waaaaay up there, poor thing! XD Maybe it was because of the rain? Meanwhile, Kura was clinging to his wire as if afraid of falling, and Maru was being exaggerated too. It was cute. XD
By the time they raised Snow White from the stage, she was SOAKED. XD They lifted her and water simply POURED DOWN from her body, lol. By the way it was raining so much they were slipping all the time. Ryo had lots of trouble during his sword fight choreography and in the beginning when the wolves first appeared Subaru was yelling “Be careful!” to all of them, because they were falling one after another during the dance, lololol (they were all laughing so much since the Rangers were telling their enemies to be careful not to slip, it was hilarious XD).
The clock showed 25 minutes. On Sunday’s concert in Tokyo it showed only 20 minutes… and in the first one it showed 30 minutes, or so I’ve been told.
Maru did the Eiga Dorobo joke again and Subaru decided the wolf should win the match because Maru repeated the same joke he did at Ajinomoto, and everyone was like EEEEEH. XD (the two other jokes were different, but I couldn’t get them, sorry - I was too busy flailing over Subaru going “ROUND ONE, FIGHT~”. XD) Later, he said he’d never repeat that joke again XD.
Babun’s soap bubbles reached us a few songs later, which was pretty amazing XD. I wasn’t expecting them to float up to our seats!!
There was a cool ending too, something I didn’t remember from the first concert. They sang a few bits of the Eito Rangers Theme again and brought Snow White, the other random guy and all the wolves back to stage so we could applaud them. :) I still think this was probably the longest and most boring Eito Rangers skit ever though, haha. /mean
ER was really really cool!! It was maybe the first song that made me realize that the concert can still be fully appreciated even if you’re not close to the boys and can’t see their faces. The stadium was like a sea of bright colorful moving lights and I didn’t even know where the boys were (probably going up and down on the little carts), but the atmosphere was amazing and everyone was really hyper!!
Yoko messed up and yelled “KYUU JOU SHOW!!” when It’s my soul started, lol, and everyone was like “Eh?” XD. Cool Magic City was unexpectedly great! Everyone was doing the hand moves and singing along, so it was super fun!!
The MC started and I can barely remember anything, sorry. I just remember that right at the beginning they apologized for the fact that the following day’s concert had had to be canceled for safety reasons, and that they were really sorry for the fans who hit, but they’d do their best on that day’s concert, please continue supporting Kanjani8 and try going to Kyocera Dome if you can, etc. etc. etc. All of us applauded. I remember Yasu saying that there was no way they’d make all those people leave home to see them when there’s a typhoon going on (he used the word “anshin” which means having peace of mind, so yeah, they’d be really worried ><). At some point one of them asked “Why is it raining anyway?”, and Maru started explaining how the water evaporates, or something around that, and it was funny, haha.
Then Yoko started talking about how September 22nd was the 8th anniversary of their nationwide debut, and as soon as I heard the number I knew there was something else coming, hahaha!! A few minutes later Yasu started flailing like “There’s extra info! Can I tell? Can I tell? Se, no…” and then Happy Birthday started playing and we all sang to Subaru, and during the whole time he was smiling so much and his eyes were shining and when we finished he bowed and thanked everyone. By this time I was almost crying already, OMG. XD
Then a staff brought a letter (and an umbrella I guess XD) and Hina said he’d read a message to Subaru - Yasu held the umbrella for him. The letter was like “31 years ago you were born, 16 years ago you joined the agency, you made friends, you have fans”, etc. etc. etc., sorry I can’t remember much of it but as Hina read it I just felt tears rolling down my face, specially because a music box version of Mugendai was playing in the background. In the end the letter was from Taeko (a real one! XD), and there was a PS: “How is Yokoyama-kun doing?”. And everyone was like “Eh?”, specially Subaru, haha.
Then Yoko said he actually had a few pictures to show, and at each one Subaru went more and more WTF XD. The first one was him wearing tracksuits, Subaru said those were the clothes he wore on the day of his audition. Then Yoko said he actually went to his family’s house to make a visit, and the next picture was him eating Subaru’s mom’s food (Subaru’s favorite dish, apparently). XD Another picture of Yoko inside the bathtub with a Scalabo bottle in hands followed, and the last one showed him sleeping wearing only his underwear XD and Subaru was like “OKAN NO HEYA!!” (“IT’S MY MOTHER’S ROOM!!”), and Yoko laughed, and everyone died lololol (sp because Taeko has an Eito Rangers poster in her room, the one from the 2009 Puzzle con XD). And then Yoko said that after this, Subaru should call him “onii-chan” (“big brother”), and Subaru was like “WTF, who’s your father?” XD. Subaru was so hysterical while Yoko was showing the pictures that it was hilarious XD.
Before the end of the MC, they brought Subaru a bento with his mother’s food (the same dish Yoko was eating in the picture XD), and Yasu held the umbrella and the microphone for him while he opened it and took a few bites (I guess Ohkura broke the hashi apart for him? XD). Subaru was SO surprised and when he opened the bento, he smiled so much and said something like “Ah, it IS my mother’s food, I can tell”, omg my heart. <3 He was just so happy, he was like "Yay, mom's food!!" XD The way he smiled, everyone went aaaaaawwwww at him <333.
After the “Please buy our compilation album! We have shiny videos for you, but only if you get both versions!” corner, they performed Crouton. I take back what I said previously, they’re wearing beige suits and brown shorts. I guess you’ve seen the hat on Yasu’s Jweb update, it has… pieces of toast on top of it!! XD And they’re all super cute and I can’t wait to watch the full thing!! ><
Brulée followed, and I had the feeling they weren’t dancing as much as they should, because of all the water. I also think I saw a few of them slipping and falling down at some point, but nothing serious. Dye D was the next one and OH GOD I DIED. I looked mostly at the screen this time, and it was showing a video with a castle, and mist, and stuff. I think they didn’t dance as much in this song either. It’s funny how everyone raises the penlight when there’s that break in the song and Yasu points up XD and of course, everyone died when Kura whispered “Dye D~”, he looked so hot on the screen!! jksgdahj <3
Then the video with all their previous con goods came up (it’s Mugendai, music box version playing in the background, haha) and then the oldies medley. 8 o’clock (god everyone was singing so loud!! I loved it!! No one could keep quiet!! XD), Tabibito, Naniwa (Subaru’s voice sounded really awesome here I should say)… all with old videos playing on the big screen while they performed, both from old concerts and the PVs as well. XD Seeing them perform Osaka Rainy Blues IN THE RAIN was something else. It was so cool!! The lights and the water together made everything look super pretty. Also: SUBARU’S VOICE. <3
Hina Obachan followed, then Sankyoudai’s Purin (Yoko and his oppai mimics, ilu Yoko), and then it was time for TORN. God, this song should be illegal, I swear. XD I had a much better view of the back stage this time so I could appreciate the whole thing. jkasjywuehjs Kura wasn’t wearing the hat (it’s possible that Ryo wasn’t either, but idk because I didn’t really look at him much >.>) and his hair was all wet and as they danced the water drops flew everywhere and hjsagdwtyea!! The big screen showed the PV (which should be illegal too) and the background had this drawing with red and dark gray roses, it was super pretty!! Great performance overall speaking XDb
Hina Obachan didn’t ride the bicycle this time (for obvious reasons XD) but he had a giant remote control, which I’m not sure he had in Tokyo. XD And then Yamada came in, and soon enough the surreal Aoppana performance started and everyone sang along and it was super fun!! They were all so hyper and at some point we realized Hina Obachan was going crazy dancing by himself on the left walkway of the stage and waving at people and… just… Hina XD what was he on?? His wig was almost falling off, he was such a dork. XD
Band session and Misetekure… once again, Subaru’s voice <3 and this time I could admire Maru’s bass playing better!! He wasn’t that close to us, but he was closer than all the others, so yay, I couldn’t stop staring, he was super sexy!! Subaru changed the lyrics to “Osaka no yoru mo” (something he didn’t do in Tokyo!! Normally he says “Tokyo no yoru mo” but he sang the normal version “ame no yoru mo” in the concert I attended in Tokyo).
Do You Agree was the next one and Subaru was screaming for no reason at random moments and I can’t really complain because he’s awesome. I think it was during this song that Yasu’s guitar stopped working and he made a “gomen! ^_^” face and stopped playing, poor thing XD. Eightopop started and it was great how after the “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7“ everyone yelled EITO! together, haha, and Yasu asked us to “clap your hands!” (in English XD). Subaru screamed randomly at the end of this song too and yes. <3
The last speech was by Ryo again, and BJ was the last song. Feelings were overflowing again and it was so pretty and I looked beside me and Lauren was crying so I couldn’t help it and broke down completely during the second half of the song, omg. ;________; But I was smiling too and singing along and and and the fireworkssss <3 <3 <3
The encores are a blur… all I remember is them coming back with My Home, then Kyuu Jou Show, then Monjai Beat, and they were completely crazy sliding on the water and trying not to fall (or falling on purpose XD), and they were obviously splashing water at each other and it was quite awesome XD. Hina was in charge of the last speech as always and he thanked everyone and said that if it weren’t for us eighters they wouldn’t have reached their 8th year. <3 Something I also remember is that Ohkura yelled “Ue no hou mo arigatou!” (“Thanks to everyone at the top!”) at the end. <3 And Subaru yelled “EIGHTEEEEER! ARIGATOU!”, which made me really happy, and I was obviously yelling “ARIGATOU!” back with all my might, haha.
It took them forever to come back for the second encore, but they did!! XD Yoko was all like “Aaaah you still don’t want to go back?? You still want to play?? Which one do you want?” oh Yoko <3. They performed Mugendai and then Hitotsu no Uta, and since everything got messed up in my head I’ll just write the relevant information I remember:
Hina went shirtless and no one really cared (I mean of course we cared, but Hina always gets shirtless, lol). But when Kiddo took off his shirt everyone went CRAZY, haha. Subaru, Yoko and specially Kura couldn’t stop kicking water on Hina.
At some point Yasu tackled Kura from behind, hugging his waist, and they both ended up on the floor. XD (this was on the left walkway so I could see it with my eyes XD)
Kura took off his shirt at the end too and started throwing water on Hina again and they showed it on the big screen and I went to heaven, haha. XD *hopeless shipper* Also, they started throwing their shirts to the crowd at some point. I’m not sure about Hina (because he was walking around half-naked since the beginning of the second encore, I think - he had a towel on his head but his shirt wasn’t around), but Kura and Ryo definitely threw their shirts away and it was pretty crazy. XD
They were all kind of teary-eyed at some point and it was really pretty to see. Subaru and Ryo were definitely holding their tears back not to cry in front of the fans. :)
Extra notes:
The people around me were much more hyper than the ones in Tokyo! I’m not sure if it’s because it was Osaka or what, but I had the feeling everyone was singing together and waving and everything, it was really awesome. At least I could sing without feeling guilty or afraid someone would be pissed at me XDa. It was great how everyone started holding hands automatically without the boys having to ask us to, in the end. Lauren was on my right and the Japanese girl that was on my left smiled at me and bowed slightly before holding my hand. She was kind of teary-eyed too. XD and at the end everyone applauded a lot, like, we raised our hands and yelled EITO!! together and then our hands stayed in the air as we applauded. It was great. In Tokyo I wanted to clap and scream my lungs out but it felt awkward to do so because the crowd around me wasn’t that hyper. In Osaka it was great because everyone was really into it. <3
Maybe I’m biased, and maybe you’ve realized it if you have read this report up to here… but I’m glad there was so much of Subaru in this show. <3 He wasn’t on the spotlight in the first one I saw (at least not for me - I mean, I couldn’t really see much of him, at least not as much as Yasu), so I’m really thankful. He was shining so much. And singing. And giving all he’s got. But then again, maybe it’s just me being overwhelmed. XD
Maybe it’s just me (again) but I do think they gave their best on the concert because the following day’s concert had to be canceled. I did feel like they were trying to make up for the second concert in Nagai that would never happen ;_;. On the following day I cried reading the Jwebs they posted right before the concert, I could feel how bad they were feeling. And in the end when the second encore was over they totally didn’t want to leave. They stayed there on stage talking about random stuff and waving at everyone and smiling and telling us to be careful because of the typhoon that was coming and everything. I wonder if they would have come back to a third encore if we had tried to call them. XD
When we were leaving I saw two girls who were in the row in front of us drying their tears with their hand towels, and they reminded me of myself in my first concert. Omg. ;__;
Getting out of the stadium took a good while and things were chaotic outside. We put on our ponchos again, lots of people opened the umbrellas, and the park was completely crowded. The rain and the wind weren’t really that strong, but it was annoying anyway. Staffs were directing us to the right train station (Subway or JR), which was really helpful because I couldn’t tell which way we should get when it was dark and raining and with so many people around. Oh Japan, having staffs working with a typhoon coming, this would never happen in Brazil (thank goodness we don’t have typhoons here, lol). They were also holding people outside the station so the place wouldn’t get dangerously crowded. Lauren and I walked slowly, talking randomly about Ryo and Yamapi leaving NEWS and unnecessary hate in fandom. She also talked about the NEWS con she went to. :) We managed to sit down on the train and we said goodbye in Umeda. It was really great to go to the concert with her and I had lots of fun!! <3
The following day (Sunday, September 30th) was gloomy. I woke up later than planned, half the girls were also late, so we missed the Karaoke party in Namba with Lauren, Ci and Kerstin. I got lost in Namba station with Vale, Miky and Clara (the trains and the stations were full of eighters… you could tell because of the T-shirts and bags… but it broke my heart because that meant lots of them were going to the concert that had been canceled ;_;). We were amused at how the Japanese girls were wearing skirts and high heels and opened shoes and a few boys were wearing Converse All-stars when there was a typhoon going on while we were wearing our boots or sneakers… seriously, Japan. XD
We managed to find the right exit and get to Jankara, where the girls were… the rain was really strong and the wind was crazy (there were lots of broken umbrellas on the street), so we decided to deal with the counter girl (my Japanese got challengeeeeed, it was so hard to communicate and fill in the damn form! XD), sang for only 30 minutes so we could meet the girls for a few moments when they were out, and then we decided it would be better to get food and go back home for the day (we were afraid the trains would stop or something, and half the girls had to go back to other cities, so yeah). The Karaoke with the Italian girls was super fun though!! :D We had a blast and we sang Aoppana and Musekinin Hero and Yona Yona and it was the best thing ever!! XD We got so tired!
We said goodbye in Umeda (crap, seems Umeda is the station of parting from people ;_;) and I went with Vale, Miky and Clara to Shin Osaka where we bought food (curryyyyy! And I stole Miky’s korokke by mistake. Sorry Miky!! It was tasty though! XDa). I was back at the hotel around 3PM, ate and then crashed (even though I had plans for homework and/or watching dramas in the afternoon… fuuuu). Later at night I talked to Alissa and she told me she read random tweets of eighters who saw Eito walking randomly in Shinsaibashi during the day, talking to fans and shaking hands. They weren’t together, but it seems all of them were spotted walking around. I can’t help but think they did this on purpose because they knew the city would be full of eighters who were supposed to go to the concert. And they went out even if there was a typhoon going on. ;___; AND I SPENT THE WHOLE AFTERNOON SLEEPING, FML. ;___;
I remember when I went out with Ci and her friends on Monday (Oct. 1st) and the owner of a famous omiyage shop in Shinsaibashi saw our bags and asked if we were eighters, and mentioned they had come by on the day before, since the concert had been canceled, and it hurt a lot lol (because we were practically THERE and decided to go back home due to the typhoon!). Also she put Sukiyanen Osaka on the stereo after we were done with the conversation, and Ci and I started doing the hand moves in the middle of the store, lololol!! But that’s a story for another post, and I’ll get to it eventually. XD
