No more teachers, no more books :-(

I am going to stop buying books (with the possible exception of the $5 box day at the Co-op book sale). I am going to stop taking Italian classes (at least for a while). Jazz Fest 2007 is out (Charleston isn't). I've already paid for my opera & theatre subscriptions or they'd be out. I might even stop eating, if I have to. Why? My Italian ( Read more... )

I think a trip to Venice is definitely worth making sacrifices for but I don't know about not buying any books for eight months!

You may have to throw yourself on the mercy of fellow bookcrossers for all those books that tempt you but might preclude a gondola ride.

I will send vibes towards a healthy 'Go to Venice Fund' materialising without too many sacrifices.

I'd skimp, too, if it meant Venice! Do you have a wish list posted? Maybe some of us can keep you stocked up while you save.

If it weren't such a serious topic, I'd tell you to join that LibraryThing group and make up the most outlandish conspiracy theory you can, just to see if they'd buy it.

I certainly think a book diet would be worth it if you were able to save enough pennies for Venice. I do hope you get to go...
