Laughing, Casey threw the snowball in his hand in a graceful arc. Right onto the back of Zeke's bare neck.
Zeke turned around scowling, and Casey burst into giggles.
"Oh, you are so going to get it, boy," Zeke growled.
Casey took off running, laughing the whole way. Zeke's long legs caught up to him easily.
"Did you think you were going to get away with that?"
"No!" Casey shouted between laughs.
Zeke proceeded to shove handfuls of snow down the back of Casey's jacket to the musical sound of the boy's laughter. It was good to feel normal again.
