Potential client meeting this morning; imagine that throughout this conversation his tone is pissed off and exasperated:
Him: I have a blog, but I’ve never seen it.
Me: You’ve never seen it?
Him: No.
Me: Do you update it?
Him: Yeah, I’ve written five entries, but I haven’t gotten any response.
Me: Is there a link to it on your website?
Him: No.
Me: Do you know the web address?
Him: No.
Me: …. how do you update it?
Him: I go into Godaddy [yeah, the hosting provider]. But I’m not getting any return on it, and I’m paying for it, and I don’t know where it is. So you need to fix that.
Me: ….
So my guess is he's typing into a Word document at www.creedthoughts.gov.www\creedthoughts.
Also he wants a website where every page is a different color AND A DIFFERENT FONT, “like stepping into a new room,” because that appeals to people of “a certain generation”. Oh my god. Oh my god.

Guys, I've been writing a life update post for like a WEEK and it's still not done, and may never be done, this is ludicrous! What if in the meantime I make you a summer mixtape of music I'm crushing on hardcore?
Full disclosure: I shamelessly stole some of these from
sailtonorway,
fitofpique,
chibi_care and
annakovsky. THANKS, DUDETTES!

Tracklist: Summer 2010
(I REALLY LOVE THESE SONGS)
Sleigh Bells, Rill Rill - any second I'm not listening to this song is a wasted moment of my life; it makes my heart race like it's Justin Bieber and I'm an 11 year old girl
Felice Brothers, Don't Wake the Scarecrow - discovered on my hard drive, unknown provenance, damn good
Balcony, The Rumour Said Fire -
annakovsky sent this to me with the note, "this is our new favorite song". And hey, it is!
Allison Weiss, Kids (MGMT cover) - to quote a commenter on the
video, great singing & strumming! Indeed.
Arcade Fire, Wasted Hours - NEW ARCADE FIRE WOOOO
Kid Cudi, Best Coast and Rostam Batmanglij, All Summer - Official Summer 2010 Jam
Discovery, Swing Tree - Discovery is a collaboration between a guy from Vampire Weekend and a guy from Ra Ra Riot, and is correspondingly awesome
The Shins, We Will Become Silhouettes (Postal Service cover) - does everyone else already have this? Jamming apocalyptic cover music aw yeah
Mumford & Sons, Roll Away Your Stone - this whole album is A++++ (I'm only uploading this one because I think I've already uploaded The Cave? If not, GO FIND IT.)
A.A. Bondy, Killed Myself When I Was Young - thanks, FNL (you should also track down the awesome Places by Fountains of Wayne, which I had to buy, but which is totally worth it)
Janelle Monae, Wondaland - this will get stuck in your head; sorry; but oh how you'll laugh when you realize what the chorus is saying. P.S. Can we talk about how Janelle Monae is
AWESOME and smoking hot? The other day I heard her on NPR talking about Octavia Butler. Also her entire album (and
that video) is about androids oh my god.
Vampire Weekend, Diplomat's Son - not about horchata, but it'll do
Avett Brothers, If It's The Beaches - Avetts always deliver
Lenka, Trouble Is A Friend - like poppy Bat for Lashes
