The rules :

d. Post in your own livejournal.
01. Torchwood: Capt. Jack Harkness
I adore Jack, both in Doctor Who and Torchwood. I love his story, the sort of sad hero he's become, his ability to be camp and cheesy and still win hearts. I love that he knows who he is and isn't afraid to be that person, even if he feels there's huge chunks he has to hide from people when it comes to his history. Plus, he's my omnisexual superhero. And really? Jack, in that jacket, pointing a gun and looking intense? It doesn't get better than that, ladies and gents.
02. Cowboy Bebop: Spike Spiegel
Spike is that handsome bad boy with a heart of gold. He's cool, calm, kicks ass and slings his gun around as if it's nothing. His heart was broken by Julia and he's truly a dead man, and he wears that sadness like it's part of his impeccably tailored suit. I adore all of the Bebop crew, but Spike is my favorite of all of them. (Although Ein, I love you, too!! <3)
03. CSI: David Hodges, Greg Sanders & Gil Grissom
I have three faves on this show. One is David Hodges, the snarky trace tech. He's good at what he does and he knows it. He's a great straight man, can be so funny, both intentionally and unintentionally, and after you strip away all the hard layers, he's sweet and easily hurt. Above all, he isn't afraid to speak his mind, or to dance when he's working. Greg is another of my favorite characters. I miss the spunky labrat that he used to be, but he's still brilliant, inquisitive, funny Greg, even if life has made him a little more bitter and wary. Plus, THE HAIR ZOMG. Gil was my very first favorite when I started watching the show, and always will be. He's quirky, funny, very handsome, and not afraid to be different. And he's so very wise and intelligent. I adore him.
04. Firefly: Wash
He's always witty, the pun-cracking, the adorable, and married to a woman who he would love to buy a slinky dress. And we're all glad that he shaved off the rapestache before we came to know him. Wash, I adore you. WHY? CURSE YOU WHEDON! WHYYYYY?! *sniffle*
05. She-Ra: Princess of Power (HAHAHAHA!! XD): Aurora ... (Only one guessed so far!)
I have two She-Ra faves from when I was little. The first was Aurora, not She-Ra herself, even though I did love She-Ra and dressed up as her one Halloween. I enjoyed that Princess Aurora could be a strong, awesome lady even when she was not her super alter ego. That made her so awesome to me. (It's the same reason I loved Jessica, Jem's real persona.) Plus, I didn't have to fiddle with trying to get the damn mask on the doll to play her. XD
06. Life on Mars: Sam Tyler
Yes, I know it's obvious. But John Simm's acting is AMAZING, and I can't help but adore the ever moody, ardent, intelligent Sam Tyler. You just want to hug him, really.
07. Coupling: Jeff Murdoch
How deep is my love for one Jeffrey? Very. He's so quirky, and he always says the wrong thing, and manages to make everything funnier, and is screamingly hilarious when it comes to approaching women. My favorite episode is The Woman With Two Breasts for a reason. XD Plus, his hair is utterly ruffleable.
08. Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Master Shake
They're all ridiculous. But Shake is ridiculous to the point of absurdity. And he kills me every time. Oh my. XD
09. Pushing Daisies: Olive Snook & Ned
I have two faves on this show. Olive is so very adorable and funny, charismatic and snarky all at once, and I love how Chenoweth plays her. I can't wait to see how she develops over time, her and her poor unrequited heart. Poor Ned is adorable in his emoness, unable to reach out emotionally and physically because of his 'gift', you just want to give him a million hugs. I love his quirky demeanor. Plus, he's just plain ... adorable.
10. Mythbusters: Adam Savage
I LOVE ADAM SAVAGE. It is true. I love him with a geek's love that will never break, age or tarnish, like the strongest titanium. He is so funny and brilliant and unafraid to fail. Plus, he gets to hang out with Jamie and blow stuff up. How cool is that?
11. Doctor Who: Ten, Jack Harkness, Face of Boe, Rose Tyler, the Master ... (Only five guessed so far!)
I have ... far too many favorites here, but I can narrow it down to eight off the top of my head, and yes, that is counting both the New and the Classic series. Ten is close to being my favorite Doctor, and that is saying something. I love the way his mood can change in seconds, the look he gets when he's discovering things, his inexhaustible energy, his ability to laugh, and his unrelenting righteous rage in the face of injustice. My poor, lonely god. *pets him* Of course, Jack Harkness is also one of my faves, fancy that. See 01. for reasons. I love the Face of Boe because ... well, he's textbook enigmatic. And there's the whole S3 spoilery reason. And he's just fantastic in general, that big ol' face. *hugs him* Rose Tyler is wonderful. She's exciting, bold, loves laughing, and unlike so many companions, I don't often feel like kicking her. Really, I adore her, and I love her and Ten together. ;) I adore The Master in all his forms! From those first days of trying to take over worlds, becoming the Doctor's nemesis, to the magnificently insane villain of today, he is my favorite of the Who villains.
12. Black Books: Bernard Black
It's hard to say that any of the others aren't my faves here, because I adore them all. But even Manny can't compete with my absolute adoration for the mumbling, smoking, drinking, cursing Irishman. I <3 Bernard so much, just for being so ... Bernard. He's hilarious. Full stop.
13. X-Files: Fox Mulder
I adore this character. He's such a geek, but he's funny, charming, handsome, dashing, intelligent, trustworthy, and believes even when no one else does or would. Definitely one of my heroes. Plus, he and Scully? Oy. So very hot.
Shows I passed on naming but you could get extra credit for: MST3K, DSM, Sailor Moon, Ugly Betty, Sesame Street, Murphy Brown, Heroes, ST:TNG, Trigun, Robin Hood, Kids Incorporated, Care Bears, House, the list goes on and on and on ... XD I just keep remembering shows from when I was a kid. And continually realize that I didn't really watch anything on tv besides the X-Files and MTV for the longest time in my teens/early twenties ... and I'm not sure if that's a bad thing. >.<
Extra credit goes to
chelfie14 and
atellix!
... In other news, I need a new mood theme, I think. I love you, Ten/Rose, but I want something new and shiny.
