See? I'm not the only one who sees this!!! I knew it!
Here's the thing. I picked up and read another Dan Brown book, Deception Point, a week ago. To give him another chance. I mean, I was really hoping for something clever and new. Because I've read two books of his so far - The DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons, of course - and they were LITERALLY the exact same plot each time, just with a different woman, different discovery/object, different 'surprise' bad guy (not really though), and a different bad guy minion who doesn't really know who his boss is.
The third book I've read of his. Which was not part of the Langdon series. Was, again, the EXACT same thing. Except ... this time the hero was a woman, with a male sidekick. Yeahhhh. Not different enough. God, Brown, can you use the same formula ANY MORE? Please? Because I'm really not sure you're transparent enough yet.
Dan Brown, you get no more chances. I'll just read the summary from now on and feel satisfied that I've got about as much out of it as I would from reading the ENTIRE THING. /ranty rant
