Happy women's day :)

Hee, I got candy and flowers today. :) The women's holiday is a bit odd, really, but who is against chocolate and flowers? Not me!

I've seen around LJ that some people haven't been getting comment notifications, but until today I haven't noticed it myself. I didn't get the notifications for comments in my last entry and that makes me unhappy - because who knows if there are other notifications I would have responded to that I never received?

I haven't watched many movies in these past months, it's like I don't really feel like watching films at all. But then this past week I've seen four already *facepalms* No idea why I suddenly want to watch all the films. :)
On Saturday S. and I watched Exit through the gift shop, a documentary by Banksy about street art, which was fascinating.

It reminded me a bit of something I was talking with S. about when we were in Munich a few months ago and went to a modern art gallery and we were looking at these random boxes exhibit. Who decides what is art? Someone must do. I mean, with some things, for example, if you're looking at a painting by one of the great artists (like my very favourite Van Gogh, say), there is just no doubt that what you are looking at is something really special. But then you look at these boxes exhibit and... what the hell is so special about those? If you need someone to tell you that something is art and ten essays to explain its concept, than it's hard for me to see it as art. It's all just 'fake art' to me.

Today I watched a Slovenian film with my folks, who are big on watching Slovenian films, which is a really rare occurrence, since the film production of a two million nation is sort of pathetic - a couple of films a year and hardly any of them worth watching. It was a bit blah, as there wasn't a proper story and the acting by the kids was atrocious and by the adults not amazingly better, but at least it wasn't depressing and no one died, which is a big plus and odd for Slovenian films in general and there were even a few instances, where it was funny! OMG! :P The scenery was beautiful, since it was shot by the Soča river. :)
