27th Invasion

[Anyone wandering around... well, what used to be some portion of the town, since it's hard to tell now, will find Squid Girl collapsed on the ground having a horrible nervous breakdown.  Her tentacles are limp and lifeless, and she's clutching them desperately in her hands, rubbing at them and shaking them and talking to them.]

H-hey... wake up!

[Kono notices her from the rubble of her own house next door. She's able to put two-and-two together from their conversation over the phone that this is Squid Girl, even though they haven't met face-to-face. Kono goes over to her to see what's wrong. Maybe she's hurt?]

Hey, are you ok? What's wrong?

[moemoetentacles]

[Squid Girl's just sort of numbly poking at her own tentacles, pushing them back and forth and trying to get them to move.]

They won't move...

[Ok, obviously they're supposed to move. Squid seems really distraught.]

Maybe it has something to do with what's going on in town? Other than that, are you ok?

[moemoetentacles]

I guess so... but what if there's something wrong with me? What if I really am dying?

[surf_n_makai]

[Kono hesitates. She doesn't know why Squid Girl's tentacles would have stopped moving. She could be right. Not that she's going to tell that to her, so she goes for comforting.]

You're not. Come on, let's get you up off the ground.

Where are we going to go?

[surf_n_makai]

I don't know exactly. We should probably find some supplies though, and then somewhere to bunker down once night falls.

Do you think there's any shrimp left?

[surf_n_makai]

Maybe? It probably wouldn't be safe unless it's canned. We won't know what we'll find until we go look.

Okay... I guess let's go, then.

[surf_n_makai]

[And off they go, to see what they can round up to help themselves.]

Have you seen anybody else that you know? I know you don't like Bucky much, but I wonder if he's ok.

I saw Mart before... and that weird lady with the black tentacles.

[Kono has no idea who either of them are, but she's glad that they're ok regardless.]

Good. It seems like it's mostly the drones who didn't make it...

Drones are stupid anyway.

Well, yeah, but still. To see them burned like this is kinda... sick.

Yeah... it is pretty creepy.
