30 days of TV - Days 8 and 9

Dec 07, 2010 20:08

I missed a day yesterday. Normally when I miss days in things like these I just slack off and don't do them. But today I'm trying to procrastinate a little so, I guess this helps.

Day 08 - A show everyone should watch

Like once in their lifetime? Or right now. Wait no, I basically did the right now one with Fringe.

Okay, well everyone should watch That '70s Show once in their lifetime. I don't understand people who don't. It's seriously one of the funniest shows, ever. And it's one of those shows that you just know everyone you show it to will like. Like, sometimes when you want to introduce a show to your friends but you think, 'no they wouldn't really like that', THIS ISN'T THAT SORT OF SHOW!

It's just hilarious, and that's why everyone should watch it. Even if you don't understand anything from the '70s, you'll still get the jokes. That's part of what's so funny. All the characters are way ahead of their time.

I will admit, it went pretty downhill after season 7, but that's 'cos they took away two of the main characters. And two of the funniest ones at that! And then they brought in Randy who was just...no. But when you block the horrendous last season out of your mind, it's really easy to love this show.

Day 09 - Best scene ever

Seriously? Do you know how much TV I've watched?

I duno. There's a million scenes I could choose. Funny ones. Overly dramatic ones. Just adorable little moments.

Instead, I'm gonna remind you all of once upon time when there was this cute little show called Glee. And it was strange because, a musical TV show? That was crazy! But some guy called Ryan Murphy created it, and everyone fell in love with these adorable characters, who were the underdogs but fought and fought because they believed in something. And soon, this became plenty of people's favourite show (including me), because it was so sweet and funny, and it had so much heart. (Sadly, it all went downhill after the thirteenth episode. But it was amazing while it lasted!)

Anyway, in Hairography, they invited competing schools over, and got psyched out because of their crazy-awesome hair dancing. So then Will, being stupid and annoying, made our sweet little New Directions do it for a deaf school and it was creepy. Then it was the deaf choirs turn to sing, and it was absolutely the nicest scene ever. The glee club just got up one by one to sing together and it was so sweet. Granted, a bit cheesy. But sooooooo sweet, and precious and wonderful. I cried. Not to mention the song they were singing was IMAGINE by JOHN fucking LENNON. It was one of the most beautiful scenes in television ever. And it's kind of disappointing to think where Glee ended up after that.

I miss you first thirteen episodes!
