The sky was beautiful today. I got to watch it turn from afternoon to evening and it was phenomenal. As the sun began to sink, the atmosphere turned some of the most beautiful purples. Only the west edge of the sky wasn't some shade of indigo, mauve, or midnight blue. It had beams of yellows, oranges, and pinks creeping out from patches of back-lit cloud. Billowing, deep royal purple clouds rolled past the half-moon a bit more speedily than normal. I sat outside awhile after class just watching. I swear, the best use of time is often to waste it.
