Somehow it got into my head that i will spend six days in bangkok drunk before i go home, I hear thai whisky is of another world. Alternatively I can find a beautiful space to relax and write but i've done a lot of that recently. I think a six day bender will hit me just right. The thing is i think the thai are a very conservative people, but maybe so am i. Yes, yes, that is what i am.
I need coffee so bad... for some reason i watched tv until 2am last night and slept in until 12, played music till 230pm and haven't had breakfast or coffee yet and have this terrible anxiety storm building in my temple. There were a lot of terrible movies on last night... one was about a ballroom dancer teaching new york street kids how to dance, and another about an irish writer who stopped writing and was teaching some loser how to write, and between them was bad porn. I don't know why i didn't just go to sleep... During the day, i went to the pagsanjan river where they filmed the final scenes of apocalypse now. It was really cool, the river boat guys have the best job in the world. We are in a canoe which they sometimes pull against rapids while scrambling barefoot on rocks and lifting it and us over bamboo ladders. intense. later in the day went to Lake taal (a lake, in a volcano crater, with a volcano coming out the middle?!?) and had one of the best dinners ever in a garden. Today i walk around manila. There are so many kinds of fruit in this country, it is unreal. Have you ever seen a jackfruit in a tree? Its like e.honda on a rope swing.
