A few months ago, Miss Price met a woman who was organizing the library. Today she has some free time and is doing her best to place the books where they belong. Due to size of the room, it involves some walking, which brings a pretty color to her face.

Late afternoon, early autumn. Fanny is walking -- not in the garden and not by the lake, but by the edge of the forest. She is not smiling, but she is slightly more cheerful-looking than usual. Approach her and she might rhapsodize at you.
Typist: Wow, I haven't made one of these in a very, very long time.

To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure, is the most perfect refreshment.
And so Fanny sits on the porch, looking out to the lake, her mind on what she said many months ago, and what may have passed at Mansfield since that time.
