So it's been way too long since I posted an update. I'm using MacJournal to post my entries now: I have become SO reliant on this MacBook Pro in less than 2 months. I have managed to replace most of the stuff stolen on my birthday. I still want to get the exact pair of Citizens of Humanity (Jagger Casablancas), which of course would give me an extra pair of designer jeans (nothing wrong with that). I like my digital camera; it will find its way into Kelly Clarkson this weekend.
This past weekend was St. Petersburg Pride. I went with Charles, as we left Orlando around 6:45 am and started our day out with breakfast and Sex on the Beach's at George's Alibi. Post-parade I helped out at the Watermark and Equality Florida tables. Then we headed on to Suncoast, which is the gay resort in St. Pete. It is in a slightly better area of St. Pete than P House is in Orlando. It was good times, as I got hit on by multiple boys and drag queens. At least I got a major confidence boost. The drag show ruled: Dolly Parton rocked our worlds. It was good drunken times. We came back on Sunday, where I proceeded to crash and watch the Portugal/Netherlands World Cup match in hungover oblivion.
Speaking of the World Cup, I'm pulling for England and France, both of whom are still alive into the quarterfinals.
My latest entertainment-at-work discovery has been AOL Radio's All Madonna channel. For the record, Like a Prayer (on the Like a Prayer album) is VASTLY better than Like a Prayer (on the Immaculate Collection) and Express Yourself (on the Immaculate Collection) is SLIGHTLY better than Express Yourself (on LIke a Prayer). Just clarifying.
LSAT prep is going well. The Kaplan class definitely should get me to my 170 if not better. It's hard to believe the summer is halfway over: even weirder, I feel like my LSAT course just started and it's already 1/3 over. Before I know it I'll be back in G'ville. What a strange, strange feeling. Oh well, I still have Kelly Clarkson, Madonna (July 22), and Kathy Griffin (August 4 in Lakeland) to entertain me.
Mix in some Superman Returns tomorrow night, Devil Wears Prada on Friday night, LSAT test #2 Saturday morning, England/Portugal World Cup soccer, Int'l Plaza (Cheesecake Factory required), Kelly Clarkson in concert, and the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, and it should be an entertaining weekend.
I need opinions on getting a Smart Phone. I'm talking Blackberry vs. Trio and if anyone has thoughts on the Motorola Q then that is cool, too, even though that's only Verizon and not Cingular at this point. The thing is, we all know people that have them and don't really even need them (Anais knows what I'm talking about), but I actually have a need/use for it. I mean, I'm fine managing my life on iCal but I would really like to not have to lug my MBP everywhere just to keep myself on-schedule and centered.
There's lots of other stuff that have happened. None of it all that life-altering. Take care.
