Because everyone has a right to the truth, no matter how harsh it may be. And, if it will save a life, all the more reason to pursue it. The thought of people such as my father living free and unpunished sickened me more than the possibility that if I stayed with him, I would find myself leading the life he wanted me to have. It is always well to see one who can appreciate that philosophy. Most of the other constables in New York are very bureaucratic in nature and care little for the well-being of the city's citizens.

It's relatively different in this one, I think; the ones here actually seem to take a genuine interest in the preservation of order and service for the City. I was honestly surprised over the enthusiasm met with the concept of creating a police force here.
