So Die Zauberflöte turns out to be an utterly amazing piece of watching, and I'm glad I found the time to watch it. Papageno was hilariously (in a terribly cultured kind of way) played by Simon Keenlyside. Also, Diana Damrau was totally magical as the Queen of Night.
