As a budding new fiction writer, I am going to toss the dice and participate in National Novel Writing Month in November. Basically, the writer (ME) has to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, averaging about 1700 words a day in order to meet the goal. The concept is to toss out my inhibitions, my writers block and just go. The contest is about quantity not quality. I go in an inept thesaurus dependant person and come out a 180 page novel writing stud. I'm currently making pre-writing outlines, character names and possible plot scenarios in preparation. It's time to crack the knuckles and tap those keys....
