Windows of Woes

Sep 17, 2008 11:18

In the past 3 months, I got so used to the Mac Mini and my French keyboard that I am sulking more and more about working on Windows. To top it, my laptop has XP SP3, which spells woe in itself where the drivers are concerned.

Oh, forgot to mention that I am back at SupportSoft as an part-time employee. So I am about to put in 20 hours a week and the rest of the week is for my book and Bella.

Back to Windows - So the office now has given me a laptop that doesn't have a built-in wireless card, so I am using my D-Link. However, the wlanapi.dll is unfriendly. So, after some breaking the head over the D-Link software installation CD and the Windows drivers and stuff, I resorted to Google (no surprises). I was not alone!

Dynamic link library wlanapi.dll problem

Obviously, the solution lay with D-Link. So, here I am, trying out their Official Tech Support Solution.

Fingers crossed!

Btw, 6 stories done, and after rejecting most sketches, I have a pretty good idea of what I am going to draw and how for all 6. I will be good to go in a year if not earlier!

Yay!
