Casablance in Malayalam?

Hmm... I have no idea how good or bad this Rajeev Nath chap is, but given the trend of remaking Hollywood movies in India, this might just be another damp squib!

See, the first generation NRI in most films is a doctor (couple or the man and the woman is a homemaker) who are SO goal driven (toward their child's so called career channeled through a Harvard or Stanford or such) that they forget the their child is not an automaton, but human. The parents are blunt and stupid enough to ignore all tell-tale signs.

Disgusting, if it is true.
