I don't have much to write about but it seems like it's time for an update!
I did go to that job interview the other day, which went quite well (which I think had a lot to do with the fact that the person interviewing me has a bunch of tattoos and has admired my tattoos in the past. It seems to me like people with tattoos feel more comfortable with other people who have them also.), and led to a second interview. Unfortunately, they were in such a huge rush today that I went all the way down there, only for the manager to tell me that she didn't have time to talk to me today, and that I would have to come back tomorrow!! Humph. Well, hopefully it all works out. I'm pretty optimistic that I can get the job. It's just at a pizza place, and I worked at Papa Murphy's for a year, and was even a prep supervisor there...Plus I interview well because I'm really good at pretending to be outgoing! haha When I need to be I'm suddenly the most friendly and perky person alive, when in truth I'm actually somewhat on the reclusive side.
Anyway, my parents did buy a car today for me to use. It is not MY car, but it was bought for my purposes (I will probably buy it from them when I can, however). I'm surpised at how nice it is for how much they payed! It runs really well, has a lot of life left, isn't that bad looking, and has all sorts of cool stuff like a sunroof, cd player, etc. The only thing that is really wrong with it is that the leather (blech!!) interior is wearing out, but that's what car seat covers are for. My sister is insanely jealous. However, she took me out driving today for some practice, which was kinda fun despite my hatred for driving. It's much better driving with her compared to my parents because she has constructive critism to offer but doesn't freak out if I make a mistake and hang on to the door handle the whole time. It's not that I'm a reckless driver or anything, they just expect that something will go wrong - they STILL hang on with my sister driving!
I expect that I should be able to get my license relatively soon. I kinda need to brush up on the written stuff though, and definitely get more practice behind the wheel - it's been awhile!
I'm finally starting to feel better after having some sort of flu thing this week. The body aches went away and I still have remnants of some sort of gastritis thing (some out of the ordinary nausea and pain after eating), but that's to be expected because stomach bugs hit me harder than the average person because of my existing digestive problems. Lucky me - I'm emetiphobic (phobia of vomiting)!!! I never vomited with this though, it was mostly just irritating and somewhat immobilizing.
Ahh...it's that time of year I guess! Everyone who reads my journal probably thinks I'm either sick ALL THE TIME or I'm a hypochondriac, but neither is the case - I swear! This has been an unusual year for me. My IBS symptoms decided to flare up worse than usual and I also caught mono, so that accounts for a lot of the time that I haven't been feeling well.
Enough about that! If anyone cares, I added a new little intro to my website. It's basically an excuse to preload the images to main page. I've been making little changes here and there to help the site run smoother and look more professional - hopefully it's working! I'm still learning though.
By the way, if any of you have any suggestions for new section or features you would like to see on my website, please leave a comment and let me know! Or if you are totally clueless to livejournal, you can email me also or leave me a guestbook message, but I will not be able to respond personally (check out my "contact" section). Thanks!
