ever heard of betty x or salon betty?

just read an interview w/ betty x, and it really makes me want to get their new release, memoirs of a pain junkie. here's an excerpt:

interviewer: hello betty. tell us about your new release, "memoirs of a pain junkie."
betty: it wraps up several years of songs that hate and i worked on together. it's a lynchian head trip. it's a deep plunge into the abyss of the psyche. as i've said before, and i'll say again, it's based on a collection of true stories: a comment on a society that is addicted to quick fixes, a society that is over-medicated and self-medicated. it's the aftermath of abuse that leads to further abuse and addictions, risk-taking, violence and self-sabotage. It's also a comment on parasitic, psychic vampires that suck the life out of their friends and lovers. It's about zombies mindlessly consuming; capitalists that know the price of everything and the value of nothing; human suffering due to impoverished wages, child labor to make nike shoes, wto; young upwardly mobile consumer whores buying hummers and suvs when gas is over $3 a gallon. It's about fucking nature in the ass and not having the common courtesy of giving a reach-around; money-grubbing whores who demand fur stoles and diamonds with little regard to where it comes from; vain swine dripping in garish materialistic trinkets bought with blood money. it's about the suppression of the "american dream" and the ill treatment of artists, philosophers and creators... gilded shit... cheap, chintzy crap we call the american dream... plastic fake people pumped up on drugs and high hopes... a dog-eat-dog world of matricide and psychopaths staring transfixed at their tvs, drinking in the latest reality television shows. we are simply diseased.
interviewer: i believe we are. do you think we'll ever be cured?
betty: no.

how unbelievably awesome was that rant? so... has anyone heard either betty x or salon betty (the new wave/psychobilly outfit she used to front)? what do they sound like and are they good?

and no i'm not being paid to sponsor ads on my blog! i'm not popular enough to shell for corporate swill, sadly. ;_;
