current situation in berlin
my german has slowly been getting better! woo hoo! it is still not as good as i think it should be, but the sad part is that my english has been getting increasingly worse...so if my german isn´t that great and my english isn´t that great...i guess i am illiterate. bugger.
I met a german friend! yay! YAY! a real german to hang out with! none of this all american students hanging out together stuff. haha. we went to a cafe in west berlin and then... of course...we ended up at a frat party. leave it to me to find the ONE frat party in berlin (frats are not popular here). only it wasn´t very SC frat. it was 20 people maybe and organized. haha. so german. But he´s a pretty cool guy...his name is Albert Seymour. I think he was hoping it could be a date thing...but he asked me about boyfriends and i just said right now its not very important...he seemed super surprised. hope that doesn´t mean that i have desperate written on my forehead. or maybe thats german girls. After tho, i had to take the S-bahn home at 2 in the morning waiting on a platform for 20 minutes outside! SOOO COLD! brrr. THEN i had to bike from the station home. i thought i was going to die. yikes. so not used to cold weather anymore. does that mean i am californian!?! i hope. haha.
This week is midterms at the IES Berlin program. boo. midterms in another language. shoot. ooh and i get to write a 10 page paper on Claudia Schiffer. how unexcited am i.
I made rice krispie bars...let me just say they were damn good. if one adds more marshmellows that then recipie calls for...it makes them gooeyer. SWEEEEET. i also got cheezits from the rentals! YUM! i have been craving those since i was in italy...over 2 months ago. i miss home.
Incident report:
I was trying to make a nice dinner so i made up a package of potato soup...which bubbled and brewed and burnt my hand! then i managed to spill ranch dressing all over. it was one after another. i am never making so many things at once...aka soup and salad. clumsiness is still here...good to know that i haven´t lost touch with all that relates me to home and cali.
