the very merriest
A lot's happened since I posted last. Short form:
1) I quit my job at WBR. I was gonna go postal.
2) Mom broke her arm, but it didn't stop her and Dad from coming down to celebrate Thanksgiving with us.
3) I started a new job at Carma Laboratories, makers of Carmex lip balm. I'm back doing quality systems development and technical writing. I love love love this job. It's only part-time right now, as I was an unplanned hire for them, but this is easily the best damn job I've ever held, period.
4) The new WoW expansion came out, and I've been playing a lot. It's been a lot of fun, even through it's a lot of work as well.
5) We're scrambling to prepare for a trip to Costa Rica in January. I'm looking forward to warm and sun in the middle of winter.
...I'm happy. Really, simply happy. This is the happiest I've been in a long time. It's like everything's fallen into place at once. I keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.
It's a weird, bubbly sensation. Effervescent is a good word for it; even when things are chaotic and crabby around me, it's easy to let things slide because I'm happy to my core.
And we're about to drive back to the Cities to celebrate Christmas with the vast majority of our families. Better and better...
