Update and First day back
So turns out when I went on break my kids got to as well, they had 5 snow days in portland the next week so and extra week of break. Problem being all the stuff my teacher intended to get done didn't happen which puts a wrench in how this year is supposed to start.
To catch you up on my break and the end of the semester. All turned out well all A's and one B for last semester. My cherry on top was the fact that I got a $350 Mini Grant awarded by OTEN for a digital camera, rechargeable batteries and chargers as well as a case. This is awesome for me and my resume later this year saying that I have grant writing experience.
Break was good got to see some girls from HS which has been 5 yrs already, crazy. I also got to catch up with a lot of other friends that I haven't seen in a long while. I also did a loooot of traveling and spent plenty of time in a car to see my aunt and grandparents.
Today was good, I am getting more comfortable with things, and my teacher is starting to open up to me and offer to let me do things and put me to work doing things in her classroom. So far so good, I am hoping it continues to go like this. I also got a glance at the cirrciulum calendar for the next couple of months which makes me feel a bit better about things. I know what days are lab days and what we will be covering and that we will be starting chemistry late Jan, and when Science Fair is which means it looks like it will be March when I teach my work sample.
Nothing else really interesting happeend today so maybe when something does I'll have more to write but that's it for now.
