Back in the Game

So I came back to:

"yay you're back"

"where have you been? s"

"we missed you"

and the like from my students which is actually a rather awesome start to the week (since I was kept up way to late by housemates and friends in need for the start of this already long and difficult week) because sometimes I wondered whether they actually cared or noticed that I was there. So it was good to hear that they like me being around, and the ESL specialist also told me that they were asking about me all last week and wondering when I was going to be back :D :D :D yay for feeling blissfully good about myself.

Also it seems that during the week that I was gone they have finally settled into the whole school routine and I just hope that this continues tomorrow when I take over teaching for language arts etc. The kids will break a thousand in the bank for calendar this week and so that will be an interesting day. For once I will have something for show and tell, I think I'm bringing in some of the pictures of the sea turtles from the snorkeling we did in Hawaii.

Today overall was a pretty normal day, oh one of the things is that one of my kids in the CASA start program has finally gotten on track and opened up especially with this 3-D math stuff we have been doing- soooo awesome :)

Now I just have to get started on the bible I need to write that will be my work sample. Here's to making it through the long first week back.

Sooo Hawaii- pretty much awesome, we got to lay on the beach read books, get some sun, plenty of swimming, yea I'll admit to getting wiped out by a wave in the ocean at Big Beach, and I do mean pulling sand out of my ears and suit and hair for a few days.
We did shopping got some cool jewelry, got an ornament for christmas, took tons of pictures, so finally when you walk in the house it will look like it actually belongs to Maureen, Amy and Margaret, not  Amy, Laurie and Maureen :)

We went to a ridiculously awesome luau in Lahina and did some browsing there as well as went to Hard Rock, got free hurricane glasses due to poor service hehe- but ended up being a good deal for us. Also went on a half day snorkeling excursion, and I will try to post pics up here (a new thing for me if and when I can get them loaded.) But I should really get back to school hw and my real post now, if you want to know more get a hold of me :)

st, hawaii
