these waves of joy break over our heads and i never see it coming.
still, i tell you i'm not going any deeper than my hips but you want to dive in head first.
there are flags all along the shoreline but we go in, anyway.
we're all smiles until you get carried away.
you get swept so far out and you don't look back. you must think i'm right there beside you
but in time you turn to find i still have my feet planted in the sand.
i call out to you to come back. you're going too far.
i see the look on your face out there
