oops
somehow i let almost 2 weeks go by without posting pictures of the day. i'll pick up where i left off with july 6th.
we went up to estes park to meet d & l who had gotten up really early to go on an ambitious hike. phin and i drove up there in time for a nice drive in the national park, a little walking around, some coffee, dinner and mini golf. we stayed in their koa cabin that night. it was a nice mini-vacation.

the next morning we had breakfast up at bear lake in the park before we drove back to denver. july 7th:

that night was the raccoon break in that i wrote about earlier. i took some photos the next morning and this one is the raccoon's entry point and our shitty screens. notice the yarn they took with them when they left. july 8th:
tuesday there was some nice light in the kitchen. july 9th:
the temps have been really off the charts and the cats hate it. they've gone into full stretch mode trying to stay cool. july 10th:
on friday phin and i went to "a little night music" at cu boulder. it was horrible! we left at intermission. this pic was from the walk we took before the show started - phin in a fountain. july 11th:
on saturday i walked to the grocery store to get some food for lunch. the store was having a 'grand reopening event' which meant they had a lot of free samples. what i didn't realize was that they were giving away ipods and when i was at the checkout i won one! crazy - i never win things. the cashier told me very nonchalantly that i had won an ipod and then a minute later someone else won one too. i went to customer service and they just handed it to me after taking my name and number. this is a picture of my ipod shuffle (which i'm probably going to sell or give away). july 12th:
saturday i made some horrible, horrible pancakes. they didn't hold together and they tasted bad too. i'm a great baker but for some reason i can't make pancakes. so on sunday phin walked me through the process step-by-step and i made successful pancakes - go me! july 13th:
on monday i had a conference call. july 14th:
tuesday night i dropped phin off at the airport. phin tried to photograph the scary new horse statue at the airport but it was dark and didn't come out. i kind of like the picture anyway. the horse is blue and has light up red eyes. it looks possessed. also, the sculptor who made the statue died when the statue fell on him. freaky. july 15th:
it was late on wednesday and i hadn't taken a picture. this is the moon through the trees from our front porch. july 16th:
thursday morning i drove my coworker to the airport. this is the highway as i'm leaving. one day this will all be built up with condos and super targets, i'm sure of it. july 17th:
last night ric and i went to watercourse for dinner. july 18th:
phew! i made it.
