Non slick shoes are key...

Tonight was babysitting Guoya with Drew and Tess, followed up by "I-Robot". Now I am home and am dead tired and just want to go to sleep.

On sunday at work, we were supposed to have 11 servers (since sunday is our busiest day) but only 7 showed up so we were hella hella busy. So this girl drops and shatters a syrup in the middle of the tile floor in our prep area. When this event occured I was out taking an order and then rushed back in to dispose of a dish and then hang my order. Zach, our dishwasher, had mopped up the mess and was coming back with the "CAUTION...Wet Floor" sign, but hadn't quite made it. In a quick paced walk I rounded the corner to the dish pit, slipped on the wet floor, and completely busted my as, the leftover toast on the plate flew in the air, servers gasped, and the bread plate shattered into a million pieces. I sat for two second as all of the cooks in the back hooped and hollered, got up, threw what was left of the plate in the broken glass bucket and finished out the morning with a slight pain in my knee. When I finally got my break at 1 o'clock that afternoon I looked at my knee which was the only place still hurting from my accident. I rolled up my pant leg to find a red and purple bruise the size of a golf ball.

Moral of the story: Don't rush, exercise caution on wet floors, and put out wet floor signs efficiently.

now its off to bed.
