bored at work
I haven’t updated in a little while and since I’m pretty bored just sitting here at work, I thought I might as well…
I had a fantastic weekend. Thursday Keisha and two car loads of people came in from Lansing to go to Erebus in Pontiac. The haunted house wasn’t scary at all but it was pretty fun. Eric didn’t want me meeting up with them alone, so he made himself go with me haha. He had never been to a haunted house either, so it was the first time for both of us. He picked me up and we went to Pontiac, and Keisha wasn’t there yet so we went to the bar and drank 2 pitchers in about 20 minutes. Good times. Then after the haunted house, we went to Hamlin Pub and meet up with some of his hockey buddies. Hamlin is pretty expensive so we decided to go to Fridays for 2 dollar beers. Well, I wanted a pretty drink so I got this huge ass apple martini and let me tell you, it was HUGE. And it was so strong I could barely even drink it but it sure did get me pretty drunk. So we closed the bar and then Eric drove me home. Now it’s like 2:15am and I’m stumbling in my house, and I had to work at 8:30 am which meant I had to wake up at 6:30!!
Work Friday pretty much sucked. After work, I went straight home and took a nice 3 hour nap. Then Friday night, Brian really wanted to go see this movie at that Royal Oak independent theatre. Well for some reason the movie he wanted to see wasn’t playing to we saw a different one. Then after the movie, we ended up going to Bdubs. There we proceeded to order Alabama Slammers!! The waitress didn’t even know what they were but it’s a good thing the bartender did. Then we also had a few beers and ended back up at my house where we drank more! At this time, we were both pretty wasted and Brian was drinking Captains straight out of the bottle. Then he found these books that I wrote when I was in 2nd and 4th grade and he read them to me lmao. Too funny.
Then Saturday I went car shopping with my dad. I still don’t know where on stand on that but I’m either gonna buy the BMW or lease a G6 coupe. They want me to buy the G6 coupe but I only plan on having it 2-3 years so they said there’s not a whole lot of sense in buying it if I don’t keep it long term since it depreciates the most in value the first couple years. If I buy the used BMW, it’s not going to go down that much in value over a couple years.
Saturday night I got ready to go to Snookers for Brian’s going away party. When I got there, I think there were like 5 people from Home Depot already there. Well I walk in and everyone is happy to see me, I felt pretty special haha. So as soon as I sit down, I order a round of Alabama Slammers for everyone, and a tall bud light. Way to get the bar tab started Melissa. So usually people at work see me when I just roll out of bed, because it’s Home Depot… why the heck would I actually get ready for work. Well I actually took some time to get ready and that was like the first time people from work saw me dressed up lol. So this older lady is sitting across from me, and she is like wow you look really hot. Hhaha. So yeah, we started drinking at 8pm and by like 10 or 11, we were all WASTED. After that, things got pretty crazy… I won’t go into details. But yeah, overall I had a great night and once again, I don’t get home til like 2:30am and I have to work at 7:45!!
So as you can guess, work Sunday kinda sucked. Miraculously I wasn’t hung over but I had this really bad pain in my side, maybe it was my liver crying. So I worked until 2:30 and then I went with Brian to go see the movie that he wanted to see on Friday. It was actually playing this time and it was a pretty good movie. I saw more movies that weekend then I saw all year I think. Then Monday morning around 3am, Brian left for Chicago because he had his first day of work at noon. He is supposed to be coming home next week Tuesday-Thursday so I can’t wait to see him. I know he loves Chicago but I think he really misses all of his friends here.
Monday night I just took it easy for once. Then Tuesday I worked and then met up with Alicia at the bar for the Tiger’s game. Ha I bet I surprised you with that one. She’s text messaged me recently and said she is really sorry and misses me, that I was always such a good friend to her and it shouldn’t be like this between us. She had asked me to go out with them one other time but I was stuck working. So on Tuesday night I agreed to meet them at Hamlin and grab a couple beers with them. We left everything in the past and things were just like how they used to be. So yeah, even if we just hang out occasionally or something, I’m glad that things are fine between us because I can not stand when things end on bad terms with someone.
Now I am sitting at work, all day from 8:30-4:30 and I have nothing to do. I hope they give me something to work on because otherwise I will fall asleep. I’m so tired and I’m freezing… nothing sounds better then my bed. I can’t wait to go home and take a nap.
