Attn: people who know lots about lj!
This question is about userpics! Are my assumptions about them correct? I have five:
1) Paid users get 30 base userpics.
2) Loyalty userpics are added onto that 30 based on how long you've had a paid account.
3) One extra icons package is 70 icons.
4) I have 124 icon slots available, which is 30 base icons, 24 loyalty userpics, and 70 extras.
5) If I let my extra icon package expire I will have 54 icon slots available.
Right? Wrong?
I can probably live with 54 icons -- in fact I've just culled my icon collection down to 54! -- but if I'd only have 30 after letting the extras package expire, then I'll pay for it.
My extra userpics expire October 1. I'd like to decrease the amount of money I hand over to lj, but I can't give up most of my paid account perks. The extra icons however I can live without if I get 30 + loyalty. My paid account expires December 1 and I will probably end up renewing that for another year. I hate being stuck on the fence about this. It's livejournal, it shouldn't be such a major decision, I just don't want to lose my connections/communities and perks here, it's been the way I mostly like it for awhile -- but I hate lj's business decisions and practises. So I'm compromising -- sort of. ;)
