The Met's season is up on their website, and it includes such gems as:
· Iphigénie en Tauride with Plácido Domingo, Susan Graham, and Paul Groves -- the same cast I saw December 2007! Fantastic show (full of gay subtext omg). Depending on money I think I might try for one of their Saturday performances in February/March. :D
· Das Rheingold and Die Walküre -- I've been kind of wanting to see a Wagner opera for awhile. Plus, Bryn Terfel in Walküre! That could be pretty awesome!
· Magic Flute with Nathan Gunn. I've kind of been wanting to hear Magic Flute, too.
And plenty of other things --
see for yourself! I only hope I can manage some money for NYC trips + opera. Standing room at the Met might be cost-effective but omg DON'T DO IT unless you're tall. SRSLY. (Not to mention I can't last on my feet for more than an hour or two.) I shall have to see how things go. Especially since there isn't much musical theatre piquing my interest at the moment.
