1. I was three or four, actually, when I learned the truth about Santa Claus. It all went downhill from there.
2. Of course I do, though a California accent, to a Californian, doesn't sound like an accent.

5. Friday fiver fill-in: For New Year this year I will ________________.
1. Hacking up a lung, mostly. Mom picked me up, then we picked Dad up. Breakfast at the Harbor House Cafe, then back to my place for presents. Mom took Dad home after a bit, then she helped me prepare for turkey-making the next day. She went home around 4;30, and I relaxed the rest of the evening.
2. So far, it's been two IKEA gift cards for $50 each -- one for birthday and one for Christmas, from the parents. (We're celebrating tomorrow with the Jimbos, so Christmas isn't over yet.)
3. I'm really excited about Boo's presents. (Will say what they are later, after I've given them.) I gave myself the same thing I'm giving her, so we'll both enjoy them together.
4. Didn't eat lunch; I was too full from breakfast, which was was country-fried steak, home fries, scrambled eggs, and wheat toast. And hot chocolate! Yummy.
5. For New Year's this year (shouldn't it be next year?), I will relax at home.
