NaNoWriMo Day 1
Am I freaking nuts???? Just because a few people in the region wanted to begin writing at midnight ( Saturday morning, November 1), that didn’t mean that I had to right? Wrong! I organized a group of us to meet at Perkin's on Jordon Creek Parkway. It was fun though. A few minutes prior to midnight, I called the Ames group (about a dozen there) on the speaker phone. We did a count down together and then all yelled "Yea" and began writing. I had over 2,000 words in before we left about 1:30.
Then I had to get up Saturday to go to my parents. Ugh. (getting up - not parents). Went down there for the day and then came back to host a write-in at 7:00 at Scooter's Coffee House near Jordon Creek Mall. (This is a MUST go to place! One of the artists on display is none other than my husband. He has 14 images for sale there). Managed to get nearly another 2000 words in. Tired but happy.
